பெங்களூரில் இரண்டு வாரம் முன்பு நாங்கள் குடியிருக்கும் வீட்டின் கீழ் போர்ஷனில் இருந்த ஒரு பாட்டி செத்துப்போய்விட்டார்.

ரொம்ப வயதாகி, தள்ளாமல் போய் படுத்தபடுத்தையாய் கிடந்து ஒரு லாஜிக்கல் கன்க்ளூஷனுக்கு வந்துவிட்டபடியால், அவர் மரணம் யாருக்கும் அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கவில்லை.

இதற்கு மேலும் அவஸ்தைப்படாமல் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தாரே என்ற practical thought தான் எல்லார் மனதிலும்.

என் பக்கத்து வீட்டு இளைஞன் ஃப்ரீஸர் பாக்ஸ் ஏற்பாடு செய்தான்.

இன்னொரு வீட்டுக்காரர் டெத் சர்டிஃபிக்கேட் டாக்டரிடம் வாங்கித் தந்தார். பக்கத்தாத்து மாமி காப்பி இரண்டு வேளை கலந்து கொடுத்தார்.

மற்றவர் மரணத்தை அப்படியே கடந்து செல்லும் நாம்... நம் மரணத்தின் முன்னரே தெரிந்து கொள்ள கொஞ்சம் முயலவேண்டி செய்ய வேண்டியதின் ப்ரயத்தனம் தான் இந்த தொடர்பதிவுகள்

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

Proceedings to buy JJ's residence quashed by MHC: "Today's India is not a land of pharaohs or emperors to immortalise the dead.

Justice N.Seshasayee said the need for the memorial could not be dictated by professional achievements, political populism, an image carefully groomed by cultivated charisma and electoral victories.

Referring to the State having relied on a 1969 SC Judgement related to a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmedabad, the Judge asked, "By relying upon this verdict, has not the Govt. acknowledged that the benchmark for establishing a memorial with public money can be justified.....

முன்னொரு காலத்தில் ஒரு ராஜா தன் மந்திரியிடம் பேசிக்கொண்டு இருந்தபோது அவர் மனதில் ஒரு புதுமையான கேள்வி தோன்றியது.

ராஜா உடனே மந்திரியிடம், "மந்திரியாரே! #முட்டாள்களிடம்_எப்படி_பேசுவது?" என்று கேட்டார்.

திடீரென ராஜா இப்படி ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்பார் என்று எதிர்பாராத மந்திரி, "மன்னர் பெருமானே! இதற்கான பதிலை நாளை சொல்கிறேனே?" என்று முறையிட்டார்

மறுநாள் காலை அந்த மந்திரி தன்னிடம் வேலை செய்யும் ஒருவனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, "நான் சொல்வது போல செய்தால் உனக்கு நூறு வெள்ளிக் காசுகள் தருகிறேன்" என்றார்

அந்த வேலைக்காரனும் அமைச்சர் சொல்வது போல் செய்வதாக உறுதி கூறினான்.

உடனே மந்திரி அவனிடம், "உன்னை நான் இப்போது மன்னரின் அரண்மனைக்கு அழைத்து சென்று உன்னை மன்னரிடம் அறிமுகம் செய்து வைப்பேன்.
