Right now I’m in a battle for the future of independent politics and I need your help.

Go to jillstein.net to learn about our fight to ensure independents and alternative parties can get on the ballot, challenge the ruling elites and build real democracy!
We're fighting an FEC decision that limits independents’ and alternative parties’ use of public matching funds to get on the ballot. The FEC is demanding our 2016 campaign repay $175K in public matching funds we used to complete ballot drives - over 5 years ago!
The FEC is now refusing, after the fact, to recognize our use of matching funds for ballot drives during the 2016 primary. With our 2016 campaign account all but closed, the FEC is attempting to hold me, as the candidate, liable for repaying $175K from my own retirement funds.
If this FEC ruling is allowed to stand, future grassroots candidates will run out of money before overcoming repressive ballot access restrictions around the country.

Go to jillstein.net to help me fight the FEC and defend the future of independent politics!
Together we've set the progressive agenda, from the real #GreenNewDeal & #Medicare4All to #RankedChoiceVoting & more.

Now in the face of climate crisis, crushing inequality & endless war, we need independent politics more than ever to fight for the solutions our lives depend on.
If this FEC ruling is allowed to stand, the precedent of getting a ruinous bill from the government years after an election will be a massive deterrent to future grassroots candidates who need matching funds to challenge power without selling out to corporate political machines.
Election laws in many states make ballot access dependent on presidential campaigns. So if this FEC decision is allowed to stand, it would be far more difficult to run in local “down-ballot” races where Greens and other independents have had the most success.
Power concedes nothing without a demand. Independent politics provides that demand. Without it, power elites don’t budge.

With fires raging, seas rising, and nuclear extinction a button push away, the imperative for independent opposition politics has never been greater.
We're eager to challenge the FEC's unjust decision in court. But to move forward we need to cover the latest round of legal and operating costs, and prepare in case justice does not prevail. jillstein.net
FEC rules prohibit me from contributing much-needed funds to my own defense since it would exceed the max I can donate to my own campaign - as if it were a donation to influence the 2016 election! So I must depend on your generosity to defend myself & the matching funds program.
Polls show unprecedented hunger for a new party, disgust with the political establishment & strong support for our visionary solutions.

That’s why this battle for public funding is so critical: to protect our right to a politics that's independent of the corporate money machine.
To make our fight with the FEC for independent politics winnable, please donate now at jillstein.net.

Thank you so much for your support at this critical moment, as the future of democracy, humanity and the planet hangs in the balance. 💚

BIG NEWS: the #Recount campaign has won our court fight in Wisconsin, overcoming the final obstacle to a groundbreaking examination of voting machine source code by defeating voting machine vendors' attempts to gag us from telling the public what we find.

facebook.com/drjillstein/po…
WI courts ruled that the largest US manufacturer of voting machines, ES&S, has no right to suppress the findings of our upcoming inspection of voting machine source code. The inspection will bring much needed transparency & accountability to the software that counts our votes.
It's outrageous that the voting machine vendors managed to tie our #recount case up in court for almost 4 years with their legal machinations funded by profits from government contracts, preventing us from examining voting machines used in Wisconsin before the 2020 election.

To people voting for Biden because establishment politicians & pundits say he's the most "safe" & "electable": the same people said the same thing about Hillary Clinton. Joe's even more of a DC insider with even more baggage, even weaker campaign & serious cognitive challenges!
Biden electability baggage: Iraq War, NAFTA, trying to cut social security and medicare, crime bill, civil rights lies, cognitive issues, inappropriate touching, Ukraine/Burisma, plagiarism scandal, anti-busing bill, "racial jungle", Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas, Hyde Amendment...
Biden electability baggage part 2: bankruptcy bill, segregationist buddies, F- climate plan, TPP, DOMA, don't ask don't tell, Glass Steagall repeal, Patriot Act, GW Bush medal, campaigning for MI GOP, drug war, bank bailouts, China trade, Yemen war, Libya, billionaire donors...

NY Times published a video where @Joannahausmann attacks me & others who say no US war on #Venezuela. NYT didn't disclose: her dad is the economist working w/ Guaido to privatize VZ's oil. Last VZ gov't he worked for imposed IMF austerity & massacred the poor when they protested.
Joanna Hausmann claims she's not a military hawk. Meanwhile her neoliberal economist father has called for “D-Day Venezuela”: a foreign military invasion of #Venezuela to overthrow the government. What US regime change does he want to replicate in Venezuela: Iraq? Syria? Libya?
Hausmann dismisses US protests against regime change in #Venezuela, because where are the Venezuelans? Um, they're at the massive anti-war rallies in #Venezuela, where 86% of the population opposes foreign military intervention... not safe in the US like she is.

They lied to you about Vietnam.
They lied to you about Iraq.
They lied to you about Syria.
They lied to you about Honduras.
They lied to you about Libya.

So why would you believe what they're saying about Venezuela?
Venezuela is in crisis. But like the run-up to Vietnam, Iraq, Libya and so many other bloody US foreign policy disasters, we're being bombarded with a one-sided, simplistic, often false narrative. No one claims Venezuela is a threat to us... but they do have LOTS of oil.
Chickenhawks like John Bolton are saying the quiet part out loud on why the ruling class should support the Venezuela coup: “It will make a big difference to the US economically if we could have American oil companies really invest in & produce the oil capabilities in Venezuela."

CNN tweeted this interview with a quote implying I made Clinton lose. Funny that they cut out the first 3 minutes where I talked about Ranked Choice Voting, which would end the "spoiler" panic. Let's talk about why CNN's attempt to blame and shame independent voters is bogus.
Exit polls showed that most people who voted Green wouldn't have voted if we weren't on the ballot. With no Greens, HRC might've netted 11% of our votes - & still lost MI, PA & WI.
(Cc: @NateSilver538)

Trump margin of victory w/ no Green in race:
MI: 5,043
PA: 38,798
WI: 19,330
The "bombshell" report on Russian trolls came from New Knowledge: a Dem-allied firm exposed for election interference by orchestrating an elaborate false flag operation to plant the idea that Russian social media trolls targeted the 2017 US Senate race. nytimes.com/2018/12/19/us/…

I'll be on @FoxNews tonight at 8pm ET talking about @HowardSchultz & the Democratic Party establishment's treatment of independent candidates & voters. If you don’t like Fox, please let @CNN, @MSNBC & your favorite channel know I'll talk with them anytime. :)
I don't support @HowardSchultz. What I do support is voters' right to have a full say in our democracy. Don't like a system where someone can “split the vote”? Support the movement for Ranked Choice Voting, which lets you vote FOR what you want instead of AGAINST what you fear.
Americans want more choices, not less. Choice is not the enemy of a fair voting system - it's essential for it. That's why Ranked Choice Voting is the medicine that our ailing democracy so urgently needs. Who doesn't want the freedom to vote for what you actually want?
