NEW: I have obtained another independent videographer's complete recording of January 6 at the United States Capitol.
Later this afternoon, I'll be publishing all of the roughly 33 minutes of footage taken by @Paulisconi. Stand by.
These are the first 2 mins of footage shot by @Paulisconi on January 6.
He approaches the east side entrance and goes up the stairs, where the doors have already been breached.
Some Oath Keepers stand outside.
Note: It appears the mic he plugged into didn't work, so no audio.
On the east entrance, @Paulisconi's (audio-less) footage shows the fighting as police struggled to regain control from the crowd, both using riot weapons and attempting to calm them.
I've quote-tweeted my own shot from about the same time below.
Here's something interesting: I left this area around that time, but @Paulisconi stayed.
Regrettably, his mic failed, but what he explains is that Trumpers here tried (and failed) to convince the police through door to abandon their post and let them back in at east entrance.
When @Paulisconi leaves the East Capitol steps, his microphone unplugs, which seems to enable one of the only moments of his footage with sound as he walks past blood on ground level.
Finally, he then gets a continuous (again, soundless) shot of police clearing the West Capitol grounds as the sun set.
Again, I've quote-tweeted my own footage for reference below.
Today @RevDrBarber held a presser with @UniteThePoor for low-income workers outside the Hart Senate building, where he accused Senator Joe Manchin (D) of hiding "behind COVID" to keep the group out as they wanted to meet (or have a sit-in) to demand he support #BuildBackBetter.
Amidst the presser, a Capitol Police officer threatened to arrest @RevDrBarber and his group for speaking too loudly outside while the senate was in session, but said that marching on the sidewalk at the Capitol without obstructing or being too loud would be okay.
Ultimately, @RevDrBarber attempted to go into the Hart Senate Building where Capitol Police denied him entry based on COVID protocols.
The group left behind boxes of petitions for @Sen_JoeManchin and promised to return.
VIDEO: More than 70 activists including an interfaith coalition of clergy with the Poor People's Campaign @UniteThePoor were arrested on Pennsylvania Avenue near the Capitol this afternoon in a protest for wage, voting, and immigration issues faced by low-income workers.
The far-right "Patriot Front" rallied today in front of the United States Capitol and marched throughout Washington DC, protected at all stages by MPD, who kept press & counter-protesters away from them.
Their avowed fascist leader Thomas Rousseau led chants & spoke at Capitol.
Patriot Front marched through the National Mall, filming themselves as they passed locations like the WWII and Lincoln memorials with a roving police perimeter surrounding them.
They ultimately crossed the Arlington Memorial Bridge into Virginia.
After crossing into Virginia, about half of the "Patriot Front" members loaded into U-Haul moving trucks and were driven away.
The remaining 75 or so members stood in a shield formation behind a police line.
Officers detoured traffic in the area & closed one side of the bridge.
EARLIER raw footage thread: This was the scene outside of the courthouse as supporters and opponents of #KyleRittenhouse learned that he had been fully acquitted.
Jacob Blake's uncle says he's shocked "as hell" about the #RittenhouseAcquittal, but he felt the judge "was putting his hands on the scale" on evidence and procedure rulings.
He says Rittenhouse "wouldn't have made it down the street" without being shot, if he were Black.
Mark McCloskey (who was photoed armed confronting BLM) said it's a "great day for the Second Amendment" and that he "couldn't be prouder" of justice system following Rittenhouse verdict.
He says he only visited post-trial so they "couldn't be accused of influencing the outcome."
