“I don’t care what you think about me. I don’t think about you at all.” ~Coco Chanel
Many times "what will others think" becomes crippling for a lot of us. Good news? We can outgrow it!
Before we go further, if you want to help others too, please RT the first tweet
Let’s go 👇
Realize that the main character in other people’s lives can never be you.
Whether you like it or not, you’re a background extra in other people’s lives, just like they are in yours.
So, don't think everyone is bothered about you, they have their own things to be bothered about.
The spotlight is not on you. Be you.
Building a positive self image is integral to the confidence required to pull off on your own.
Instead of building a negative self image by laughing crazily when someone falls,
build a positive self image by offering your hand to the fallen. This strengthens your self-image!
Resist the urge to talk anything about anyone which you would not like someone to talk about you.
The problem with judging others is you can’t help but think what they’ll think about you because you would!!
Judge others only if you want to be judged.
One thing is for sure that if you want to grow, you need to put up a thick skin.
Be okay to make mistakes, be humiliated and still be fine with it. No one can upset people with thick skin!
Another important skill to acquire is to be able to say what you actually feel.
It sounds easy but it is not that easy to do and that's why you need to do it.
"when it's not easy to do, it may be a good thing to try"
Real life rewards those who don’t put on any filters.
With no filters on - you can never be manipulated.
What's better?
It helps cutting ties with those who weren’t meant for you.. and this is a blessing. You'll realize that!
An important indicator that signifies you’ve levelled up on your maturity is when you start taking decisions for yourself and you own them up completely, no matter what!
Those that do not fear taking decisions, never fail.
They may of-course learn from them when they didn’t turn out to be the way they imagined it to.
With practice - you understand that it doesn't really matter what others think because all that matters is you and your own life!
Olin Miller once said
“You probably wouldn’t worry about what people think of you if you could know how seldom they do.”
