Why did @narendramodi not pursue the plastic Gandhis post 2014 win?

I have seen Twitter splitting on this every time a statement comes from the family or any of the others in the opposition including Mamta, OYC.

Here is why they should be left on a long leash.
To understand why Modi Ji said before the win that he will not chase them, you should pay some attention to how our democracy works.

I have said in the past that democracy is inherently flawed, and political system with it's ideological war is dangerous.
In this flawed democratic political system, for a party to survive and grow, it needs what's called an 'enemy'. In politics, this is called 'Opposition'.

Gaining strength against a common enemy is a communist tactic.

BJP is no exception. For it to grow, there must be a villain.
No party will grow just by focusing on service. No party will grow if they did not target an opposition party.

Orissa is an example of how BJP could not target a good Administration.

At the centre, Modi and Shah need Rahul Gandhi to keep attacking them.
In Tamil Nadu, @annamalai_k needs DMK to oppose.

In Kerala, @surendranbjp needs Communists to oppose.

In WB, BJP needs TMC to oppose.

A strong target is one who openly displays their true colours, speaks against India, and Hindus. Such targets should float free.
If BJP tried to put them in jail for legitimate reasons, then they will become the heroes and Modi the villain.

Hence their relentless taunting to induce hard action against them.
Followers of BJP may support their leaders in their own state and at the centre by focusing on the 'enemies' and stop accusing BJP for not jailing every good enemy they could focus on.

This is why I said in 2020, that DMK and Communists should come to power in TN and Kerala.
Unfortunately, this is how politics works. Let’s hope by the time of Annamalai, we have a different system.

Until then enjoy the ride. This is something we ordinary folks get out of this game.

Those who instead focus on what Modi Ji should and should not do won't enjoy this.
There are four ways you can do this:

On SM and in the field,

1. Explain and propagate government's good deeds
2. Focus on the opposition or anti-nationals and expose them relentlessly
3. Criticise or expose the government where it goes wrong
4. Participate in nation building.
If you focus ONLY on criticising an otherwise good government, we stand to lose.

In my view, a leader can be tested on these:

~ a good person
~ a patriot
~ works hard to do the right thing always

If you agree @narendramodi is all the above, then I rest my case.

The tale of Two Prime Ministers, a blast and a rebuild.

Bhagavān Sreerāmakrishna Paramahamsa revealed to the world how death in Kāshi gave Mukthi.

He describes seeing Lord Shiva sitting by the head of the corpse on the pyre and chanting Tāraka Mantra (Rāma) in its ear.
Sitting at the foot of the corpse, Dēvi Pārvati removes each of the five mantles of Māya (Kala, Kāla, Rāga, Niyati, Avidya) from the Jīva.

With the Tāraka Mantra infused and the veils of Māya removed, the Jīva lives and dies many times in a split second and attains Mōksha.
This is how sacred and important the Mahāshmashāna - the burning ghats of Kāshi are.

Now the tale of the first PM.

In 1986, Rajiv Gandhi ordered to replace these pyre grounds with electric crematorium under GAP. Clean Ganga was NOT the only reason as you know.

Quick views on today's political situation

1. Looks like the puppet masters are losing hope in INC as it is today, and they are willing to load up TMC instead.

The sudden money rush to buy manpower in disparate states cannot be explained otherwise.
2. Also shows the masters are not hopeful of AAP

3. RaGa and PriGa are loaded and reloaded and they have failed spectacularly.

Evidence - exit of close ties of RaGa from INC to join TMC and Aditi's entry into BJP - looks like check for PriGa.
4. Distinct absence of 'Third Front' narrative and a united Modi Hate Band despite five state elections - no mahaghatbandhan talks -

instead focusing on backroom orchestrations through Prashant Kishore Pandey.

Repealing Farmers Laws

Had a few questions paused to me. As one of the very first on SM to welcome Farmers’ Laws, I am happy to express my take on the repeal.

1. This is a temporary change in the course of this reform. @narendramodi Ji has studied issues for over 20 years.
2. What is so shocking about this repeal? In January this year, GOI agreed to suspend these laws for 18 months until a workable solution is found.

The protestors did not agree. GOI met with the protestors very many times, agreed to change/amend and even revise the terms on MSP.
The protestors did not agree to any proposal from the Govt.

The protestors did not even participate in Supreme Court’s proposal of the panel.

After exhausting all options, Govt decided to repeal. What is there to feel emotional about this?

Notes on Geopolitics Part 3 of 3

Further shifts needed

The competitive game India has been able to play in recent times gives hope not only to our own future, but also to countries that look upon India as a friend, philosopher and guide.
Keeping our civilisational integrity in the world driven by consumerism; and preserving India’s long legacy of being the Culture Guru of the world is a challenge India can only tide over with careful planning beyond the current geopolitics.
• An inherently proud generation to take on the world.

Age and skills do not bring home the demographic dividends. A national pride is needed.

How India can achieve this in the face of manipulative social engineering is a clear challenge for us.

Paradigm shifts in Indian foreign policy

Making Ajit Doval the National Security Advisor was a much-anticipated move.

However, little did the world expect that a country like India would have the craft and dare to define its own terms while
it’s still a developing country.

Narendra Modi’s new style of leadership powered by Subramaniam Jaishankar’s diplomatic orchestrations and Doval’s formidable combination of master strategy and meticulous footwork enabled India to wield a commanding position in the
emerging multi-polar world.

Modi’s swearing in ceremony asserted India’s lead role in the SAARC countries, but it was the Paris summit on climate change that displayed India’s changing geopolitics in the world arena.

It was obvious from the declaration of ‘climate justice’ by

A world order but in India’s terms: emerging Indian geopolitics - Sreevidya Balasubramaniam

In this thread, I unpack @narendramodi Ji's geopolitics from an outside perspective. To show contrast, I am giving a brief of the past diplomacy as part 1.
India’s past foreign policy

Non-alignment was a foreign policy instrument India followed since her independence.

It sat on a pile of post-war assumptions of the emerging world order. Promoting peace made the core of India’s foreign policy as a pre-condition to development.
However, this policy had long become redundant in the face of a ballooning war economy globally.

Like many domestic policies post-independence, non-alignment was also strongly influenced by the socialist ideas in support of the Soviet Union in the protracted bipolar power-
