A new satellite image shows that #China's building a bridge on its side of the Pangong lake in eastern Ladakh
The Chinese move comes amid the prolonged Sino-India military standoff in the border area

#IndiaNarrative

@kakar_harsha @asthana_shashi @MeghBulletin
Reports say that the satellite imagery is of an area on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) near the Galwan valley region
The armies of India & China had created a buffer zone in Galwan valley following their deadly clashes on June 15, 2020

#IndiaNarrative
Marking #NewYear Indian & Chinese troops exchanged sweets & greetings at 10 border posts along LAC including in eastern #Ladakh
As per reports, the bridge is at a distance of around 40 km from LAC & India is also developing infrastructure in response in the region at a rapid pace
China constructing the bridge in the Khurnak area, so close to LAC is clearly to facilitate mobilisation of PLA troops
Top sources say, Indian military is aware of the development on the Chinese side & is therefore developing rapid infrastructure in all key areas along the LAC
Last week, Defence Minister @RajnathSingh inaugurated the Chisumle-Demchok road at Umling La Pass at over 19,000 feet in Ladakh, a key stretch for military purpose

Ever since #Indian troops took control of several strategic peaks on the southern bank of Pangong lake in August 2020 after the Chinese PLA attempted to intimidate them in the area, a baffled #China has trying to strengthen its military infrastructure in the region
Since the May 2020 Ladakh standoff, both sides have deployed thousands of soldiers & heavy weaponries in LAC region
India stands clear on "complete disengagement & immediate restoration of status quo ante"
It insists on returning to status quo that existed before face-off erupted
