A suspected drone attack may have sparked an explosion that struck three oil tankers in Abu Dhabi and another fire at an extension of Abu Dhabi International Airport on Monday that killed three people and wounded six, police said. 2/6

WELLINGTON, Jan 20 (Reuters) - A 57-year-old Tongan man who said he swam around 27 hours after getting swept out to sea during Saturday’s devastating tsunami has been hailed a 'real life Aquaman'.
The eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano on Saturday killed at least three people, sent tsunami waves rolling across the archipelago, damaging villages, resorts and many buildings and knocked out communications for the nation of about 105,000 people.
Lisala Folau, who lived on the small, isolated island of Atata which has a population of about 60 people, was swept out to sea when the waves hit land at about 7 p.m. on Saturday, he said in a radio interview to Tongan media agency Broadcom Broadcasting.

Syed Farzand Ali Zaidi, who shot and killed a newly-wed man in Karachi’s Kashmir Road area in a robbery bid last Wednesday, was an on-duty cop who was on bail in a previous robbery case as well as three other criminal cases, it has emerged.
Farzand, who was posted in the investigation wing of Karachi’s West Zone Police, allegedly shot himself dead when police conducted a raid to arrest him.
According to DSTV’s investigations, Farzand was on bail in four similar cases registered against him — robbery and possession of illicit arms in 2017 — and possession of narcotics and illicit arms in 2019.
