1. Why a waitlist funnel?

Don’t think about selling something that nobody needs.

The waitlist lets you gauge interest.

If nobody joins the waitlist, cancel the project.

The move to the next one.
2. How much will this cost?

Zero dollars.

The software you’ll use is free.

I’ll talk about them soon.
3. Product

No offer = no money

No money = death

Reach out to your followers.

Figure out their challenges.

Build a product that solves their problem.

But don’t build it just yet.

Launch a waitlist first.
4. Waitlist

A waitlist is a special marketing tactic.

This tactic helps you gauge interest in your products.

See, when people join the waitlist, they give you their names and emails.

Basically, they’re giving you permission to sell to them.
Use @ConvertKit to build the waitlist.

Convertkit is an email marketing platform

✅ Easy to learn
✅ Free for up to 1000 subs
✅ Great deliverability
✅ Offers free landing pages

Now, what to add to the waitlist landing page?
@ConvertKit A simple waitlist landing page needs:

🪝 Hook - to get their attention
🏄‍♀️ Lead - to create desire
📝 Body - to describe the product
🖥 Opt-in form - to get the person’s name and email
✅ Call to action - to get them to join the waitlist

Once you have this, write the emails.

Self-promotion is mandatory.

Nobody will do this for you.

Therefore, post a link to your waitlist a bunch of times.

Write 10-15 posts in a couple of minutes.

Then schedule them using your favorite social media automation software.

Add these 4 emails to your Converkit automation:

👋 Welcome email - to set expectations
🌠 Story email - to tell your story
🏆 Value email - to teach an idea related to the product
🔎 Research email - to learn about their problems and gaals

Use it to figure out your potential buyer expectations.

What are their goals?

What’s preventing them from achieving their goals?

What are they looking forward to learning?
@ConvertKit By now, you should have 100 people on your waitlist.

And that is when you should start creating your product!

Use the research, coupled it with your own ideas, and put everything into a PowerPoint presentation.

Then record yourself explaining your ideas for 60-90 minutes.

Keep it simple.

Use @gumroad.

It’s easy to use.

All you need to do is:

1️⃣ Write a short product description
2️⃣ Price the product
3️⃣ Upload the video files

Once you’re done with this, start drafting the sales emails.

By now, the course is ready.

So it’s time to sell.

Use these emails to talk about:

✅ Why you created the product
✅ Your story
✅ The benefits
✅ The features

As many as possible.

Send at least 10 emails in a span of 3 days to the waitlist.

And give them 3 days to take advantage of the special ‘waitlist’ price.

Then raise the price and start promoting on social media.

Do this to make the marketing campaign extra powerful.

Add urgency.

Urgency is when someone feels the time is running out.

Do so by:

1️⃣ Closing enrollment
2️⃣ Raising the prices
3️⃣ Limiting spots

Why can some people quickly memorize other people's names and I can't?

It's not that I haven't tried...

It's because I have severe problems with memorizing names.

Thankfully, I've never forgotten my wife's name.

I like it when people like me.

And I've noticed that the perfect way to make people like you is by calling them by their names.

Like when I correctly pronounced the name of a guy I wanted to hire.
His eyeballs almost came out of his eye sockets when I said his name on that dreamy day during our zoom call.

After hearing me, he said, "nobody has ever pronounced my name correctly on the first try."
