Ashneer Grover controversy - a no holds barred thread.

Entitled brats stay away, snowflakes stay away and poverty loving bleeding hearts stay the f away.
I didn’t even know @Ashneer_Grover Grover before I started watching Shark Tank India. He is the sole reason why I watch the show.
Ashneer Grover isn’t exactly a pleasant man. And it’s very clear from his behaviour on Shark Tank. He rarely smiles.
He tells people that their idea is worth shit. And he strategically invests only in profit making businesses.
I guess that makes him a perfect shark 🦈 considering the show is called Shark Tank and not Dolphin 🐬 tank. Some snowflakes already hated the man. And then came the big AudioGate episode.
So some lazyass bank employee forgot to book an investment and denied him of a golden opportunity of making crores of rupees. It was only natural that he got pissed.
Now the “poor” bank employee strategically recorded the conversation of an irate Grover cursing the bank and the employee.
The bank employee masterfully leads Ashneer to curse more. “Are you drunk sir?”, “Sir you’re a legend, an icon don’t say like this sir” and similar crap. Ashneer goes bonkers and goes to the extent of threatening the bank employee.
Was Ashneer wrong in being angry? No
Was the bank employee wrong? Yes and lazy and a victim card flasher
Is Ashneer’s language acceptable? No, but people lose their minds for trivial things and here we are talking crores.
Are CEOs/Founders supposed to be rainbow farting unicorns 🦄 spreading love and harmony and positivity everywhere? No.
In fact most successful CEOs have been Category-A A-Holes. Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Rupert Murdoch, Roger Smith all were hated by their employees and loved by people.
I saw a Quint article where some entitled brats were assassinating Grover’s character. These must be same rascals who must have been fired at some point of time.
The term “toxic work culture” is thrown around like a cushion these days. You join a startup at 5 times the salary to do 50 times the work. Don’t want to do it, join a mass recruiter and die living in a 2BHK.
And when some of these overpaid underperforming rascals are thrown out, they cry “toxic work culture” till their throats go dry.
So blaming Ashneer for cursing and swearing at a lazy call-recording bank employee reeks of India’s socialist hangover.
The rich is always wrong. Those who drive Mercs and Beamers are always wrong. Trying to crucify Ashneer is crucifying the job creators and wealth creators of India. We are not pro-poor as a country, we are anti-rich.

Elephant in the Room - A thread:

Due to my activities, my FB timeline almost always has a Ketto/Milap ad. Often the ads show a patient struggling to pay medical fees. It’s gut-wrenching to see their condition and heartwarming to see so many people pitching in to help the family
3 days back I saw an ad again. It shook me to the core. A Muslim man had half of his face distorted. The left side of his face had half feet long overgrowth just jutting out of everywhere.
The man painfully narrates his story about how people are scared of him and call him names. The ad video explains that it is a genetic disorder. A rare one at that. And it would need an enormous amount of money to make his face right again.

A message to fellow Dharmik Wingers – A Thread
I am not the most enthusiastic retweeter. I post random threads and almost exclusively RT Team TFI members. But we aren’t the world. I am not the only one with a team.
10 years back, the center-right representation was practically non-existent on Social Media. Left Wing Journalists used to set India’s narrative, shamed India internationally, fixed government cabinets, got plum postings and we, we were voiceless.
It took an exceptional group of gentlemen and ladies to build the right narrative in India and now, we as a loose coalition of voices are so strong, that we are being recognized internationally.

Stupid people and democracy - a thread

Many candidates who appeared in TFI interviews recently, supported the withdrawal of farm laws wholeheartedly stating that people and more specifically farmers were against it and that they were protesting. Democracies must respect people.
When I follow up with “If CAs start protesting against GST, company directors against IBC and builders against RERA, should the government roll back those too?”. The answer is mostly silence or an illogical emotional outburst about people’s right and democracy.
‘Democracy is of the people, for the people and by the people’ is possibly the stupidest quote about democracy and most people think of it as the most technical definition of democracy.

India saw a spate of beauty pageant winners in the 90s. That was the post liberalization India. India became a huge market for health and beauty industry and an Indian winning a beauty pageant was just the push Indians needed to lighten their wallets (or purses).
India will see a spate of beauty pageant winners in the next 10 years too. This is the post pandemic India. With a China in decline, India remains the biggest and most resilient market for health and beauty industry.
An Indian #MissUniverse is just the push Indians needed to lighten their wallets (or purses) for cosmetics, treatments, medicines, diets, apparels, and accessories.

My favourite interview question is “What are the 3 farm laws and why are they being opposed by some farmers in India?”

The way most candidates struggle to explain is deeply disturbing. And these are bright Mass Com Grads I’m talking about. The hit ratio is 1/20.

The above tweet sounds absolutely moronic 😂 but look at the capitalised letters.
