It was built during the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty by King Vatsaraja in 783 AD making it the oldest surviving Jain temple in western India.

Built by Rai Budree Das Bahadoor Mookim, a jeweller & art connoisseur to honour Sheetalnathji, the 10th Tirthankar. This temple inspires awe from one & all. Construction of the temple began in 1842 and it was completed by 1867

14. Bavan dhvaja #Jain Temple, Sarotra, #Gujarat by Henry Cousens in 1885. The Main shrine stands in a courtyard, surrounded by a corridor of 52 small shrines. Unfortunately the temple was desecrated by the time Cousens visited, & none of the images from these shrines survive

Acc to the FIR filed at Bopal police station in Ahmedabad by Priyanshu’s batchmate Prithviraj Mahapatra, the two had gone to a cafe & a bakery after stopping at a tailoring shop at 7.45 pm. Around 10.30pm, they were on their way back to their college campus. (2)
At a turning on the road, a car at full speed came dangerously close to them. Priyanshu, who was riding pillion on Prithviraj’s bike shouted at the car driver. The man turned around, chased the bike & stopped them. He instead started blaming the boys for driving on wrong side (3)

Seth Todarmal was born in an Oswal #Jain Shwetambar family in Punjab (exact city vary in diff sources) & his ancestors were wealthy Traders. In 1630CE, Emperor Shah Jahan promoted him to the post of Diwan-cum-Faujdar in Sirhind, Punjab. (A biopic on him was released in 2023). (2)
In 1658, as soon as Aurangzeb got the throne, he replaced all the bureaucrats with Muslims. He dismissed Diwan Todarmal & appointed Wazir Khan. Hence, Todarmalji stayed in his Jahazi Haveli at Sirhind & continued his business. (3)
