I do think this is very beautiful

obviously an academic translation of an imperfectly understood ancient language isn’t gonna capture much of the flavor and meaning, but there’s a pleasing, sharp directness to all of it. kind of like sappho several centuries later going “MOM I CAN’T WEAVE I’M LOVESICK”
