Lexiter Larry Elliott talking piles of sh*t again
Johnson vaccine rollout ignores that of 30m jabs in UK, 13m Pfizer imported from EU, 5m from India+non-trivial amounts from NL. UK only provided 20% of its 68m pop. @BylineTimes please expose Elliott's BS. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
His article perpetuates division and Euroscepticism, it glosses over tips of economic icebergs and proceeds to use 'confirmation bias' when in reality the negative impacts of Brexit unfold into a panoply of multiple shocks induced by disaster capitalist libertarian tactics.
He also completely ignores the Govt's party within a party (Steve Baker's NET Zero Scrutiny Group/ERG/CRG) and it's extensive connections to hundreds of far right think tanks from ATLAS, TPA, Cato, IEA aka Truss's 'Global network of Liberty.' Elliott should be fired. @guardian
Johnson's self congratulating about successes of youth employment is, you guessed it total BS👇🏻
Elliott cites the freedom of the UK to cut VAT on energy bills, in comparison the EU's approach is far more generous with billions allocated to cut bills especially for those on lower incomes and small businesses. theguardian.com/business/2022/…
Then quotes Starmer “Look, we’ve left the EU. There’s no case for rejoining so we have to make it work. We are out, and we’re staying out.” Asked whether that ruled out a return to the SM/CM under a Labour Govt he went on: “Yes, it does. 👉🏻
We’ve got to make Brexit work from the outside and not reopen old wounds.” Elliott fails to acknowledge historically devastating examples of free market disaster capitalism running riot, deregulated laws on workers rights, dark money, welfare destroyed, rights to protest torched.
Once right wing libertarians get a hold on a stable economy, like a rabid pit bull it will not let go. Brexit was the Trojan Horse that 'unleashed' the most dangerous network of disaster capitalist thugs from the US, Russia, Austria and Australia on the UK. #BrexitReality
Post Brexit turmoil will see privatisation run riot over all public sectors. The cost of living crisis will not see the public as beneficiaries of a caring socially minded Govt, the opposite will be true as Tories unleash their Global network of Liberty; 'freedoms to pillage UK'
Crisis is not something the Tories have the slightest desire to mitigate, it is fuel to be poured on the fire, the gains they envisage all too real, an economic violence that shareholders, CEO's, multinationals are queuing up for. Taxation is for losers, there is no society.
Take what you want and to hell with those who didn't possess the genius to capitalise on the clean slate. Rebuilding from the ruins of Brexit will only be subcontracted to the wealthy. Local small business won't have a leg to stand on and will fall victim to corporate interests.
UK under Johnson is testimony to decades of economists unleashing disaster capitalism on stable country's, as deregulation ratchets up, so privatisation increases its stranglehold on public sectors. All those billions gone to waste is an hors d'oeuvre compared to what's coming.
As Frost & Truss belch out their 'Global network of Liberty' ideology now would be the right time for the MSM and all opposition parties to step the f*ck up and expose what that entails exactly, its nothing to do with freedoms for you and I, much more to do with Libertarians
wreaking untold havoc and misery on the left behinds, on the welfare state, on the very lives you lead. The reshaping of an entire economy is no small task, it is an operation that requires calculated implementation. Operation Yellowhammer is actually closer in reality to what's
Heart of populist Brexit beats with unrestrained passion for the Tories favourite authors/economists, Hayek, Rand, Friedman, Buchanan, W.Rees-Mogg. The world bore witness to what was inflicted, so many caught in the disaster capitalist maelstrom, now the UK sucked into its vortex
Economic violence runs parallel to military tactics of war, 'Go in hard and fast' nothing gradual, no time to recuperate from shocks the Tories unleashed on its own people. Like a boomerang Brexit returns, hammers the UK with the real pain of its ideology on a myopic public/press
When the Tories ousted party moderates, the ERG and its vast network of right wing libertarians and oligarchs seized the opportunity to force through the clean slate, far right extremists throughout history lay off a countries workforce in order to exact revenge on socialism.
2003 Paul Bremer prohibited Iraq's central bank from funding state owned enterprises, the rebuilding of Iraq was in US's image, a whole culture rapidly dismantled at exceptional cost to Iraq's industries. 'No one believes in the public sector'
Ring any bells UK? #BrexitDisaster
Iraq's firms couldn't compete with imports flooding the country, Bremer scoffed 'this is the beauty of the free market, only the best will survive, one who is dying deserves to die'
1997 W.Rees Mogg's Sovereign Individual, the libertarians guide to killing the state. Next Brexit
The language of the US' mission to wipe the slate clean was typically suffused with wanton death & destruction & the merits of frontier disaster capitalism. Well UK, #Brexit has smashed your country to bits and right wing libertarians are running amok plundering and pillaging
History shows that Iraq's missing billions in 2004 were part of the US wiping away a whole culture and country and replacing it with free market corporations that destroyed over 200 state controlled firms. Fast forward to Dido's absconding of £37 billion of taxpayers money 1/1
during the pandemic, another £35 billion that is owed to the NHS since officially leaving the EU in 2020, another £4,3 billion written off by the Govt through fraud last week and a devastating pattern of economic violence emerges courtesy of right wing libertarians. #ToryLies
As UK trade collapses, EU funding is replaced with pitiful crumbs from the Govt's table, deregulation is rapidly shoehorned in allowing multinationals to asset strip companies and flood the UK with cheap imports banned in the EU. Brexit is the segue into full blown privatisation.
