17 y.o. Maxamus Gideon from Springfield #Missouri died from COVID on Aug. 25 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital after spending 38 days on life support. He was not vaccinated #PediatricSoulsLostToCovid ky3.com/2021/10/08/mot…
His mother had previously been against vaccines, but she and other family members got their shots in hopes they could help protect him when he returned from the hospital. Unfortunately, he passed just before they got their 2nd dose.

Though she knows her vaccine now will not bring her son back, she does want others to hear her message.

ECMO stands for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. The ECMO machine pumps and oxygenates a patient's blood outside the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest. It's often a bridge to lung transplant. Image

"There was a 99% chance she was not going to survive, which as a parent, that's hard to listen to," he said.

Donald said it all started on Sept. 19 when Camden went into cardiac arrest, quit breathing, and had multiple seizures during a family fishing trip.
"We pulled her out of the recliner and onto the floor, started doing CPR on her. I sent my wife, we didn't have any cell service, so I sent my wife to find a landline and call 911,"
