Red Alerts sounding in #Israel as initial reports of Air Defense Activity over #Damascus, #Syria.

Assumption of the Red Alert in #Israel right now is Air Defense Missile gone rogue.

Reported airstrike in Mezzah Area of #Damascus, #Syria.

Multiple Aerial Defense Systems seem to be in use this evening by #Syria, launches reported from Mezzah and other areas, Mezzah is a common launch site, often BUKs and Pantsir.

Rumours and speculation already around the errant Syrian Air Defense Missile being an S-200, if this is confirmed I suspect it would be from the usual Ad Dumayr site just East of Damascus.

Shrapnel from an interception has been found in Qudsaya, wonder if the airstrike was targeting the The Scientific Studies and Research Center (SSRC) in Jamraya?

Was there any photos of lightning in that area last night? Looking at the lightning maps it’s *possible* as there was recorded bolts - but they are now archived as 6+ hours so can’t the exact time unless anyone knows another way to look at archived bolts?
