1/ #Rollups (Layer2) are blockchain technologies that help scale Layer1s (ex: Ethereum), that allow faster transactions at a cheaper cost in a trustless verifiable way.

In ZK-Rollups, validity is ensured by zero-knowledge proofs.

2/ Zero-knowledge proof (ZK Proofs) technologies enable one party to prove to another party that they know something without the prover having to convey the information itself in order to prove their knowledge.

Since ZK proofs allow data-sharing between two parties without transferring any information with the transaction, they can improve scalability.

1/ We are undergoing an outage due to multiple block propagation issues. Heavy spam traffic in the past 30 hours has halted the network.

Our core team is working with validators & internal leader nodes to resolve the outage.

Minimum gas upped to 30 gwei to prevent spam attacks
2/ Progress Update - 1 AM PST

Validators have been advised to downgrade their node binaries to a previous version as the bandwidth of validators with V4.3.2 were overburdened.

Our team is working on a special version of validator node binary to reduce bandwidth usage
3/ Progress Update - 1:30 AM PST

Our team is internally testing new versions of Shard 0 that could potentially restore the blockchain.

1/ Harmony community, @harmonyprotocol is now officially migrating its governance requirements to Snapshot.org (@SnapshotLabs)

All #HarmonyONE DAOs rely on Snapshot to run important elections such as protocol proposals & electing DAO governors

2/ @Harmonyprotocol is now fully supported on Snapshot, and the forked version hosted on the Harmony website will be discontinued.

This decision comes to ensure complete decentralization and to provide a reliable and secure product to the community.
3/ With an ever-growing number of DAOs on Harmony and a plan to create many more, it is critical they have access to reliable services to run and manage their organizations.

Therefore, from March 1st, 2022, users will need to create a brand new space on Snapshot.org
