If this if the "freedoming" Pat King was referring to last night, then weak.

4. Anyways, FOX News arrived in Ottawa last night and unlike other news outlets appears to have been unmolested.

I wonder why?
5. They are creating a narrative that the whole world is laughing at the Prime Minister and that he will soon be driven from power because, you know, this protest is all about mandates and totally not an attempt to undo a democratic election from this past October.
6. As giddy as Ezra Levant is about this however, he still seems miffed in Alberta.
7. While the QAnon Queen Romana Didulo was searching for FOX to grant them an interview they may or may not have wanted, she was confronted by other #OttawaOccupiers for her flag burning stunt.
8. Seems that not everyone is a fan.
9. Alex Vriend of the Plaid Army/Diagolon hate group remained on edge but also suggested inside information was being shared and not just rumours.
10. Others also insisted that there would be police action very soon.

12. Right wing extremist politicians from racist political parties such as AfD in Germany are giving the #OttawaOccupiers the thumbs up.
13. And racist Canadian Telegram continues to be racist.
14. I am mildly amused that they are upset that the police are being referred to as Nazis because, as Nazis, they are offended by the comparison.
15. Among the group that have been holding protests in front of politicians homes in Calgary, we have claims the vaccine is giving people HIV and that Trudeau is getting kickbacks.

Again, totally about the mandate. /sarc
16. The Ambassador Bridge situation continues to be a big problem.

17. Guaranteed the protesters blocking it don't know that it is privately owned.

18. Again, I note it isn't even that big a group necessarily.

19. Premier Jason Kenney caved to protester demands and ended most mandates.

And because it is totally not about mandates, the blockade remains.

20. The person who convinced those blocking the border to remain when they had agreed to leave looks like he'll be cooling his jets until at least next week.

21. Called it! Pat King is responsible for the protest causing delays at the Ottawa Airport. He is doing a feed right now (I'll download, cut it up, and post it when I'm back home).

22. It should be noted that a big reason for Pat's involvement is the petty desire for revenge after being denied a flight due to his vaccination status.

24. And this is perhaps the key part of the clip where he says that the Prime Minister is "going to catch a bullet" and says "someone is gong to dos you in" towards other politicians.

25. I'm currently cutting up the first of streams Pat King posted of their disruption of the airport.

The absolute joy they are taking at making people miserable it something else.

27. And as I surmised, this is in large part petty revenge for Pat who was not able to board a flight because he wasn't vaccinated.
28. So basically Pat King admits he is a selfish child here.

I might be paraphrasing.

They suggest "slow rolling schools" as well as coopting Orange Shirt Day and "Every Child Matters."

After more than two hours of tormenting people at the Ottawa airport, he and Tyson Billings returned to the Coventry camp that the #OttawaOccupiers set up to plan for Friday.

Pat basically admits that they are holding the citizens of Ottawa hostage.

1. By now I'm guessing that most of my Twitter followers are aware of the most recent threats against Trudeau and the subsequent of a suspect. I think there is an even more important story though related to the poisonous influence of social media

2. Dawid Zalewski was arrested for making death threats against the Prime Minister. The following video was posted to his second Facebook profile. Be warned that it may be triggering as it promotes graphic violence against the PM and others.
3. Zalewski is clearly not well, but I think would be wrong to dismissively call him "crazy" move on without further examination. There is a reason why he got to this point and I believe we can learn a great deal from his social media footprint.

1. I’ve been enjoying my summer break and have not been paying a lick of attention to the Olympics. Until today however since Twitter has collectively lost the plot.
2. Earlier boxer Imane Khelif defeated her Italian opponent in the first round when Angela Carini quit after 45 seconds stating that she had never been hit so hard.

To be fair, I don’t enjoy being punched in the face either so I can at least sympathize with Carini.
3. Now a preliminary fight would never be important enough to make international news under normal circumstances however we are, as the saying goes, living in interesting times.

1. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson) was arrested in Calgary on an immigration warrant apparently. He may have since been released, though he has to turn in his passport and remain in southern Alberta.

I'd prefer that he be kicked out immediately.
2. Despite claiming to have been a "political prisoner" many of Yaxley-Lennon's criminal convictions his Islamophobic "activism" and a number of convictions since have had nothing to do with his political views.
3. In 2005, he was convicted assaulting a police officer who intervened during an argument Yaxley-Lennon was having with his then girlfriend.

1/ It's been a while since I've done a thread here, but the recent focus on Pat King got me to wondering what was up with his own Salacious Crumb, Tyson "Freedom George" Billings.

2/ Last time I looked at Billings he was a part of the efforts to set up a permenant camp outside Ottawa so there could be daily protests, though the original plan involved surrounding the police and arresting politicians.

Suffice to say it didn't go anywhere.
3/ Billings and Ron Clark soon headed home, but they both soon got involved in other protests including the anti-carbon tax protests occurring in the province. The numbers at these events have been small but that hasn't stopped from politicians from courting the fringes it seems. Image

1/ Though I'm not especially active these days, I'm still sometimes gobsmacked by some of the ridiculous (though sadly effective) rage farming by some on the right. Harrison Faulkner of "True North" is just a recent example of that. Image
2/ So a bit of background. Musical artist Karan Aujla won the 2024 TikTok Juno Fan Choice Award at the award ceremony this past weekend.

I think it was this weekend. Truth be told I don't pay a lot of attention to awards shows.

3/ It should be noted that Aujla has been in Canada for years emigrating as an orphan. He graduated from high school in Canada. The album was produced by a Canadian on a Canadian label.

He has made his home here.
