A UP local court grants bail to Maulana Umar Gautam in an alleged forceful religious conversion case.

Gautam, who is also accused of being involved in a nationwide religious conversion racket, was arrested by UP Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) in June 2021.

In the instant case, it is alleged Gautam in collusion with a school's manager namely Maulana Umar Sharif Mahajri, had forcefully tried to convert Hindu teachers of the school into Islam. One of the teachers had filed a complaint in this regard.
The teacher had alleged that she was initially pressured to convert and when she refused to do so, she was fired from her job without being given her salary.

The Rajasthan High Court has summoned Ajay Pal Lamba, the then DCP (West), Jodhpur as a court witness in the 2013 rape case against Asaram@ Asaram Bapu.
The order has come in an Interlocutory Application moved by Asaram alleging that the entire case was false and fabricated. Image
Asaram is currently undergoing imprisonment at the Central Jail, Jodhpur following his conviction for rape and other offences.
The instant application was filed on behalf of Asaram amid the hearing of the appeal against his conviction.
It has been contended by Asaram that in his book “Gunning For The Godman, The True Story Behind Asaram Bapu’s Conviction", Lamba has stated that he had made a video of the hut-like room (Kutia) on his mobile phone, where the victim girl had alleged that she was ravished.

Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi appearing for the Spicejet stated that I have paid around Rs. 300 Crores in Cash and Rs. 270 Crores in Bank Guarantee. This is the third execution application.
Even the 270 crores lying secured was to be paid 4 years ago.

Sr Adv Maninder Singh- The offer is, is willing to settle finally another 300 crores, you please talk to your client and come back on Monday.
