Mitra: Newspaper Aajkal reports peaceful elections took place. Even Statesman reports peaceful elections took place barring a few incidents. Same in Protidin, a Bengali newspaper. Same in Bartaman newspaper. Then in TOI, talking about large scale voter turn out.

Court: Instead of referring to newspaper report, file affidavit against the allegations.

AG S. N. Mukherjee: It is very important when a person moves a PIL and states that this violence occured there should be some sanctity to that.

Court orders SEC and State to file affidavit in reply before next date of hearing. Orders police protection of woman who was attacked and statement under 164 to be recorded. CCTV footage and other documents to be preserved. Date: 21st February.
