What did the Tokayev-Nazarbayev regime dislike so much in the OSCE assessment?

Tokayev, continuing the tradition of Nazarbayev, did not allow the real opposition to participate in the elections, and the OSCE observers recorded this in detail in the report.

St Joseph County Early Voting Update for #elections2022 with 2 weeks to go until #ElectionDay!
Between walk-in and mail-in absentee, turnout is roughly 10,000 voters. That is nearing the halfway mark of 2018 early vote. Given historical trends for the final 2 weeks of early voting, I would estimate we will surpass the early vote totals for 2018 by a healthy margin.
Women still outvoting men 56-44. Younger voter numbers are starting to creep up with voters below age 50 now making up roughly 15% of the early vote.

Saurashtra-Kutch - the biggest political division in the state both in terms of area and number of constituencies, swung dramatically in favour of INC in 2017 as compared to 2012. INC gained 14 seats in 2017 while the BJP lost 12 seats in the region.

Despite the swing, BJP gained around 1% vote share while the INC clocked a whopping 9% gain in vote share. It is noteworthy that this region is the least urbanised in the state and that BJP lost on 4 SC reserved seats from its 2012 tally which went to INC in 2017.

A lot of Dems feel blindsided by Roe V Wade being overturned. Seems like it happened suddenly and many want an immediate fix. I can tell you this event DID NOT happen overnight. It happened because Republicans turned... 1/4

Thread: Will the weather support Biden or Putin?

1- Two factors will determine the future of Presidents Biden & Putin: Global economic growth & Weather.

A recession is bad for both Biden & Putin.

A #recession might change the balance of power in the forthcoming US election
2- A recession is not good for Putin: It would reduce the demand for oil & natural gas & allow the EU to rebuild its inventories. It would also lower energy prices, which reduces Putin’s bargaining power. A recession would reduce the cost of building regasification terminals.
3- A recession might help Putin if it leads to increased public anger in Europe and change in governments. After all, Putin's objective is t break the EU and force some of them to deal with him covertly or overtly. Just look at the events in the Netherlands now.

The outcome of the French parliamentary elections is highly consequential for both France’s and Europe’s future. Here’s why 🧵

SPOILER: Macron will eventually have to pick either the left or the right!

#electionslegislatives2022 #France #ElectionsLegislatives
1. Macron’s presidential coalition (Ensemble!) came out on top and remains the largest parliamentary force in parliament, BUT lost its absolute majority
2. This leaves us with unprecedented degree of fragmentation and division in the National Assembly, with both the left wing coalition and the far right largely over-performing and squeezing the centre.

Parliamentary power is back! #Elections2022

The #January6thCommitteeHearings started on 6/9/22 evening with witness testimony & video footage surrounding the riot on the Capitol on #J6. The televised hearing is the 1st in a series that is expected to last through July.
I will ask the questions not being asked & quote many. Image
In all of the video shown on Prime TV by the #January6thCommitteeHearings, I didn't see a single frame w/ Ray Epps as he is seen in multiple videos on Jan 5 & #J6.

Why was Ray Epps encouraging people to go "into" the Capitol building?

Did the FBI hire Ray Epps?

Does the FBI now, or has it ever, maintained a formal or informal relationship or point of contact w/ Ray Epps, whether directly or indirectly, including through intermediaries?

Until now, @MOIM_Lebanon has only published election results by district. This goes against best practices as publishing granular data allows for scrutiny 1/3

In 2018, the results were published at the level of polling stations allowing @LADELEB to discover that the results of several expat ballot boxes were zeroed out. 2/3

Publishing 2022 results as a workable file (.csv) in a timely manner would only increase the public confidence in the process. 3/3

forcing the disabled to vote out in the open and not behind the booth or have their vote cast by someone else… These are just some of the violations documented by the Lebanese Physically Handicapped Union across all districts in Lebanon so far.

Not only do these breaches humiliate and potentially endanger the elderly and the disabled, they also violate Article 96 of the Electoral Law which requires the Interior Ministry to facilitate voting for individuals with special needs.
