If AIDA was confusing, then PAS is a lot simpler to understand.

P - Problem
A - Aggravate
S - Solution

Of course like any other copywriting process,
it must start with knowing who the target market is.

1. Problem.

Just state the problem

a. "Looking For: Male, Mid 30s, Losing Hair"

b. "Flabby Tummy After 60 Days Diet Program? It's not you, it's your gut."

c. "Website Not Generating Leads?"
2. Aggravate.

Make it worst.

a. "Losing hair is stressful. It makes you look older than your age."

b. "Frustration, anger and tired. We're not losing weight, we're slowly losing mind!"

c. "Spent 30k to develop a website, after 6 months SEO rank keeps dropping, fast.
3. Solution

Your solution.

a. "Look younger. Grow baby hair with 2 min application on the scalp."

b. "Feel fresh, lighter. Drink 1 slimming tea daily to balance pH in the gut."

c. "Work backwards. Define the goal then build your ways to get there. Reasonably priced service".
It doesn't have to end there.

Finally, leave your Offer or CTA.

a. "Get the Trial Kit for Free"

b. "Get 2 boxes for the price of 1"

c. "100% Money Back Guarantee. Learn more."
When I'm in a rut or feeling tired.
I just go with PAS.
It's quick and easy.

If it doesn't work.
It's not PAS.
It's you.

❌ Bad customer research
❌ Bad product
❌ Bad offer
❌ Poor targeting
There's a lot more variation.

Problem-Agitate-Discredit-Solution
Challenge-Solution-Invitation

Whatever it is,

"Copywriting must lead them to read the next sentence"... "and the next."

When you use the word 'No',
You indirectly teach them to say no.

When you want them to take action,
'No' would come up naturally.
2. Get "small-yes-es".

Throughout the entire copywriting,
get a small yes.

Even when telling stories,
invite them to be a part of it.

By these two principles,
'No' is the first to go.
