👋Hello

The last few weeks have been 🤯. I never expected to have 2k+ people following my Tweets.

While that's nothing in the context of some accounts, I am feeling the responsibility of it.

And think you deserve to know who you're reading.

So, a little bit about me...

🙋‍♂️My name is Alex.

Clearly, I'm doxxed.

The fact that you can be an anon participant Web3 is super cool, but it didn't feel right for me.

It's more important to me that y'all know me and that I'm accountable for what I say and do.

My background is multifaceted...

I started my career in politics and campaigns (which is where I met @JasonHitchcock), but burnt out.

I spent six years in a variety of roles @Apple, my last few managing a few Talent Development programs.

From there, I jumped into the agency world and got to work with cool companies like @Apple + @Meta.

But like many, the last few years took a toll and my health was declining so I've been on "sabbatical".

Nursing my health and getting way too into #Web3.

My goals in #Web3 are simple: freedom and security.

I don't want to have to choose between my work and health. I don't want feel like my wage holds me hostage.

I don't need "fuck you money". I just want enough to live a modest, secure, and free life.

And take my lady to Paris.

In the current paradigm my only hope is to continue to grind and squirrel my acorns away.

As I do this systems, structures, and products optimized to extract my value will take more than they'll give back.

And then maybe, if I live long enough, I'll get to retire.

In #Web3, I see possibility...

👉 DeFi institutions that return far more value to their users than TradFi

👉 DAOs creating value and distributing it back to their communities

👉 NFTs allowing creatives and artists to finally be rewarded for their craft

A true paradigm shift.

So this year, I took a big risk and liquidated all of my TradFi savings and moved into crypto.

😳 eep.

And despite the fact that averaging into a bear market has (until the last week) felt like #onlydown, I've been able to maintain my conviction and passion.

This is only possible because of the amazing people and communities I've had to support me...

🙋‍♂️@JasonHitchcock red-pilled me and brought me into the amazing community @yieldopolis

🐶 @Ace_da_Book and @EthropyFinance have been indispensable in navigating the space

🧙‍♂️ @gabagooldoteth + @_veDAO_ have shown me I have value to add to DAOs and brought me in as a contributor

And it is this welcoming and egalitarian spirit of #Web3 that led to me adopting "wagmi" as part of my handle.

My goal for this account is to help us ALL make it.

So with that, some caveats...

4️⃣ I will be biased and bring a PoV

5️⃣ I will be invested in the things I talk about

6️⃣ I will never offer financial advice
