Thank you @UNFPAPakistan for the honour of asking me to moderate the #WDD @SindhGovt1 seminar on the occasion of #IWD2022 titled
'Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow' @SyedaShehlaRaza @bayramgul_unfpa

It allowed me to point out some important work at policy level to mainstream #Gender issues, like #ccGap document by #IUCN Pakistan & @MoCC with @theGCF readiness support to work in tandem with National #ClimateChangePolicy by highlighting interventions in 6 priority sectors

Progress was narrated by #WDD rep. on #genderfriendly new laws, & amend. in existing laws is heartening. Look forward to their wide implementation. Also about measures about safety of women & safe houses like DarulAman @SyedaShehlaRaza @UNFPAPakistan @bayramgul_unfpa @SCSWPK

Data was also shared by the @UNDP_Pakistan #SDGSupportUnit was also quite an eye opener as well as a potential resource pool for journalists and researchers. @UNFPAPakistan @SyedaShehlaRaza @SCSWPK @bayramgul_unfpa

Was so good to have the very articulate and engaging @madiha_latif from #Pathfinders engage the participants in an interactive presentation while explaining the nexus between #ClimateChange & #SHR (Sexual Reproductive Health) through sharing her Thar experiences @UNFPAPakistan

And then @Ghausia_R neatly, yet passionately tied the loop by showing the need to understand intersectionality when working towards #GenderFriendly policies & impl. framework by making all who are impacted a part of the solution @UNFPAPakistan @bayramgul_unfpa @SyedaShehlaRaza

and finally my young friend from the media @manesh_kumar15 spoke of why he has focused on #ClimateChange stories with a #Gender lens & sounded a note of alarm at the lack of attention to #ClimateInducedMigration in #Sindh, @UNFPAPakistan @SyedaShehlaRaza @bayramgul_unfpa
