13] @nelsonchamisa:

Behold The New:

Search for a new transformational consensus saw the birth of a new yellow baby on Jan 24th, with a new name, new DNA, new mission, new Agenda to serve & liberate citizens for a better life, jobs, freedom, dignity, joy, to make Zim Great Again
14] @nelsonchamisa:

The citizens movement was born out of a desperate realisation that Zimbabweans need a new & fresh way of doing politics

CCC stands for modern politics that puts the citizen at the center- center of all decision making

We are unleashing something Big 🟡
15] @nelsonchamisa:

Every citizen has the capacity to change. Let's change our situation and form a Citizens Govt.

Allow the seed of change to germinate & grow in you- a commitment to make our country a better place

The 24 of Jan was a special day- now its Yellow everywhere
16] @nelsonchamisa:

Qualification to belong to CCC is being a citizen
We've survived sustained attacks on us, our cause & our movement
They removed elected officials, replacing them with handpicked surrogates & cronies
They were intent on destroying us,,now we're better & bigger
17] @nelsonchamisa:

They stormed & forcibly took our HQ, not knowing we are headquartered in the hearts of citizens

They diverted the PPFA money earned by the voter

They grabbed our name but we left them clutching at an empty shell

You can grab assets, but can't grab the ppl
18] @nelsonchamisa:

Thank you for believing in us. They didn't know they were fueling our struggle, adding fertiliser & manure. Because of our citizens-centeredness, citizens continue to rally behind us. We've witnessed amazing acts of citizens action in the convergence phase
19] @nelsonchamisa:

Without any direction nor instruction from political leaders, citizens in the diaspora organised to raise funds to support the struggle. We understand they've picked up from the successes of last year to ensure we campaign everywhere for the 2023 elections.
20] @nelsonchamisa

2022 is the year of #CitizensAction4Change

This means we are placing citizens at the center of all actions & programs, making sure the citizen determines what the politician does
The tail can't wag the dog

Beyond all affiliations, citizens must come together
21] @nelsonchamisa:

Pillar 1: Citizens Action for Change

The agenda is calling citizens to act. Citizens must act, serve, participate & be involved.
This means building grassroot & volunteer programs for change, across all professions.
The message is: 'do something for change.'
22] @nelsonchamisa:

Action for Change must go beyond political party affiliation.
The core Action for this year is mobilizing to register to vote. Voting makes a difference. Those demotivating voting want to take away the citizens' voice. Organize, mobilise & educate for change
23] @nelsonchamisa:

Register to vote, for the CHANGE you want to see. Register to vote for jobs; grants; students payouts, better education; a happy life; strong economy; functional health system; a Zimbabwe that works for all of us, not just a few of us.

#CitizensAction4Change
24] @nelsonchamisa:

Let's act now to end our suffering; to keep the hope for the next generation; to stop ourselves from being abused. Let's be fully equipped to fend for ourselves and fight this fight to bring to fruition, the change we want to see.

#CitizensAction4Change
25] @nelsonchamisa:

Pillar 2: Community Action For Change

Let's champion change in our communities. We've a resp to mobilise, serve, lead & educate at a community level; volunteer services, recruiting new members; donating to offer support Strong communities make strong nations
26] @nelsonchamisa:

Pillar 3: Action for an Alternative Government

We'll offer alternative policies & programs. Gone are the days of opposing for the sake of it. We will launch the #GreatZimbabweBluePrint which will include what we will experience in a new & free Zimbabwe.
27] @nelsonchamisa:

We'll offer alternative policy in education, energy, agriculture, freedom, support for young people, diaspora. We are an alternative in policies.
We can't be talking about stone age tactics like pfumvudza in this day & age. We will move to #SmartAgriculture.
28] @nelsonchamisa:

Pillar 4: Agenda 4 Reforms

•electoral reforms
•constitutional reforms
•political reforms

Some of the electoral reforms:

i. Right to vote (including diaspora) -enhance access to vote registration
ii. Credible voters roll
iii. Security of polling material
29] @nelsonchamisa:

•electoral reforms

iv. Security of the vote & voter- clear dispute resolution mechanisms

v. Transitional mechanism- a credible results management system

vi. Media reforms- state media must be fair & impartial

Our elections must be a market place of ideas
30] @nelsonchamisa:

Pillar 5: Global Action For Change

Solidarity is key. We will seek regional support and solidarity as we organize ourselves for change. We need the support of progressive forces as we fight for free & fair elections, as we seek to win 6 million votes in 2023
31] @nelsonchamisa:

We need law makers, we will have a 2/3 majority in Parliament. We'll clean sweep in local government. This is a Citizens' movement. The external support won't be useful if we fail to mobilise to register to vote. A high margin of votes can't be rigged.
32] @nelsonchamisa:

Once we get our army; police; courts; the law; our politics; policies; Parliament; our leaders back to the citizens, then we'll be able to make change happen. In the next months we'll be rolling out the #CitizensCharter & building the Transformation Team.
33] @nelsonchamisa:

Please be part of this great change. Be part of this 🟡 movement. Turn 🟡, turn gold, turn great. Be part of the sunshine movement. This is my ask, this is my task. Introduce the new, be the new, accept the new, spread the new, build the new, deliver the new
34] @nelsonchamisa

Be a citizens champion for change. Welcome to the new. God Is In It. God bless Zimbabwe, God Bless Africa. Fellow citizens, this is a great year of Action for Change. We have to do our best for change and transformation. I thank You.

1] Did a thread, January 6th, after the proclamation of by-elections vacancies, pieces of which I shall attach to this thread.

This thread, part of what I'm terming #YellowReview, engages citizens on their views regarding political developments affecting the democratic project
2] One of the issues was to do with the party name, after months of uncertainty.

The then MDC-A party, could have opted against participating in the by-elections, thereby keeping opponents guessing, on the intended way forward.

This had its consequences

3] As fate would eventually have it, wisdom prevailed, & a new party was formally introduced,Jan 24th

Can quickly add that for those who sensed this inevitability, concern was on the new party name

With the benefit of hindsight, are you as a citizen satisfied with the name CCC?

1] The Mwonzora circus has taken another twist

True to its identity of being a judicial reconstruct, @OurMDCT through Mwonzora's legendary tactic of using proxies (something he employed against Tsvangirai himself), is now attempting to stop the March 202 by-elections, he caused
2] Great political minds, such as Dr Magaisa, countless times, warned Mwonzora against overplaying the court card, as 'politics is about the voter'!

Whereas admittedly, this isn't rocket science, it would seem like everyone else except Mwonzora, understood this warning.
3] Before looking into the merits of what the DM proxy is asking from the courts...here's some context.

Mwonzora has been a useful ploy, in ED's desperation to destroy @nelsonchamisa

In 2020, the courts upheld a dubious judgement which deligitimised Nero's succession of MRT

1] Been thinking a lot about the whispered CCC "coalition" with various parties from Matebeleland, especially the MaKhupe outfit

The proponents of this idea, argue that having multiple Opposition parties is the South, is splitting the anti-Zanupf vote, to the benefit of ZanuPF
2] I've consistently said, as uncomfortable as this topic is, it should be had.

It benefits noone to point fingers & raise political emotions.

In fact, ructions over this issue will draw the attention of ZanuPF, who will in turn manipulate the whole thing, to their benefit.
3] Whereas at face value, "coalition" are desirable, & have become a trend in modern politics, they need to be managed well.

Hope it's not lost to those in CCC who are pro coalition with MaKhupe for instance, that firstly, there's a serious risk for infiltration.

1] #KwekweRallyHorror

Was doing a followup on a colleague from Kwekwe, whom I shan't name for his own security, who was stubbed at the Yellow Sunday rally, addressed by @nelsonchamisa last Sunday

The story is chilling & leaves you fearful & frustrate beyond anyone's compression Image
2] His story goes....

He was eventually alerted by commotion behind him, & turned back to saw machete welding men running towards him, randomly hitting CCC supporter.

One of them began chasing him & eventually caught up, & proceeded to tackle him to the ground, where he fell.
3] Once he fell, the man started stabbing him countless times, with a long spear he was holding

His only saving grace was that he fortunately fell on his stomach. Consequently, he was stubbed on his backside

Had he fallen on his back, he would've been stubbed on his stomach

1] @CCCZimbabwe President @nelsonchamisa's speech:

"We gathered here today, less than 400 days before the 2023 general elections, 35 or so days before the by-elections. They thought they had dealt us a heavy blow. I warned them, Save left me with a vision of where we are going"
2] @nelsonchamisa:

"They claimed our kraal, & we said stay behind with it, together with your herder, Dhakaboy. You can capture the leaders but can never capture the people. You can even entice some people, but the citizens of Zimbabwe will not tire, until change is realised."
3] @nelsonchamisa:

"We gather here in Highfield where it all began with nationalists. I'm saying to Mugabe, Nkomo, Dabengwa, Tsvangirai, I'm now carrying your work forward and will complete what you had begun. Thank you citizens for keeping the liberation agenda aglow."

1. How does ZanuPF even begin to talk of "the legacy of Tsvangirai"?

Tsvangirai's legacy was never about an institution, let alone a party name.

Why would they admit that the MDC "disappeared", when Mnangagwa captured it & offered it to his stooge, @DMwonzora?
2. One is tempted to ask, if ZanuPF is convinced that MDC is dead & buried in the history books, what is @DMwonzora leading now?

Does Mwonzora himself realise that ZanuPF assisted his MDC takeover, knowing fully well, it would "destroy MDC"?

What happens to their dialogue?
3. But anyway, Tsvangirai's legacy was never about a mere party name.

That is why citizens kept identifying with him, even after altering the MDC electoral name, 3 times.

Tsvangirai's legacy remains 'pursuing a democratic change of government, to win Zimbabwe for change'.
