Yesterday, an incredibly hardworking advocate sent compelling letter to MLA & Attorney General @Dave_Eby referencing Dr. Henry’s PH orders that states that people intermingling in indoor settings w/o face coverings constitutes Health Hazard under PH Act. Pls read...🧵1/

“I am writing to you as both a constituent & as a citizen to whom you’re responsible as Attorney General. I wish to report that several gov’t agencies, ranging from Office of PHO, every health region, every SD & every post-sec institution are in violation…” 2/

“…of various pieces of BC legislation pertaining to duties to report & duties of care w/respect to protecting the public from a Health Hazard (& federally designated airborne Risk Group 3 Bio-pathogen).” 3/

“Dec 3 PH order states following: I have reason to believe & do believe that (a) presence of public, operators, workers, school staff/stu, post-sec staff/stu, worship service participants & indoor events intermingling w/o face coverings constitutes HEALTH HAZARD under PH Act;” 4/

“(b) in order to mitigate risk of trans arising from presence of public, operators, workers, school staff/stu, post-sec staff/stu, worship participants & indoor events intermingling w/o face coverings, it’s necessary for me to exercise powers…of PH Act TO ORDER as follows:” 5/

“I would like to note that on Dec 3, the situation in BC was actually much better than it is now i.e: SARS-COV-2 health hazard in BC is now greater than when Dr. Henry wrote above text. Eg. the avg viral load in Annacis Wastewater Plant this wk=48,768 whereas Dec 3 wk=8,385.” 6/

“This combined w/stmts confirming efficacy of face coverings in ⬇️ SARS-COV-2, & ⬆️ risks to groups i.e immunecompromised who’re protected from discrimination also under various Prov/Fed leg, supports conclusion that several govt agencies are currently violating several laws.” 7/

“Could you pls advise the steps & timeline for investigating/ameliorating these serious breaches of trust OR provide me w/legal analysis outlining how my conclusions are incorrect? I would be happy to meet w/you in person to discuss this further.” 8/

This 👏 stellar letter 👏 hits the nail on the head! With maskless high risk public settings incl transit & schools already endangering lives, pls consider writing similar letters to your MLAs & School Districts.
