Just found out @leaningshane has #COVID19. Both packing while waiting for the CDC to arrive. He’ll go to hospital and I’ll be taken to quarantine. We’re OK, but not looking forward to the next three weeks. #Shanghai 
Schnauzers are safe. Thankfully our community manager allowed Bodhi and Finn to leave the compound last night (after a spritz). They’re enjoying a staycation at a foster home in #Shanghai. 🐶 🐶

After testing positive for #COVID19 @leaningshane is on his way to hospital in #Shanghai. Told to put on a Baymax and go to the ambulance. Tough to watch, harder to do. ♥️
Not good. @leaningshane is at hospital. Cold, no running water, a soiled toilet and no paper. A wire frame and thin sheet to sleep on and shut away with 3 strangers, unable to communicate. Hard to see my love like this. Expected tough, didn’t expect this. #Shanghai #COVID19

Exhausted but keeping in good spirits as we wait for me to be transferred to hospital. Our thoughts are with you #Shanghai.
“Uncertainty” is the word I keep hearing across #Shanghai. Not knowing what’s next or how long this will last really takes its toll.
Just arrived at the #Shanghai World Expo Center. Doing OK but not sure what to expect once the masses hit.
No shower facilities so it’s a bucket and flannel job.
Portaloos, plastic cups and overcrowding. Like a really shit festival.
No hot water, no soap, no loo roll.
Me and 6,999 roomies.
Near 4:00am and not slept a wink.

🤦♀️ Apologies. Between everything else, I’ve gotten my lines crossed. Actually at Jiahe Xinyuan, Jiading - a temporarily converted residential facility.
1of4: Quick update on the last 48hrs: Shane has been at JiaheXinyuan, while I was at the Expo site. A difficult and isolating time for us both, especially not being around other English speakers at a time in need.
2of4: Added to this, I live with mental health illnesses (detailed in my work and disclosed during regisration at the site). Because of this, we asked about the possibility of a transfer, and on Monday I was taken by ambulance to Jiahe.
3of4: I arrived to find that our room mates at Jiahe, Hao Jiong and Xue Jiao, were also reunited. To stop confusion, I’ve deleted tweets where I used the wrong hospital name.
4of4: Now it’s time to rest and recover. After two negative test results we can go home. Thank you for all the support, it’s kept us going through a challenging experience. Our hearts and thoughts are with our Shanghai community at this time.
Tested this morning. After two negative tests, patients can go home. Fingers crossed for all🤞.
