I FINALLY found the "discovery math" in the Alberta math curriculum...in 1936!
Alberta has always had a progressive curriculum...until the #UCP destroyed it for 100% ideological purposes

The social studies outcomes are very colonialist and not desirable...but interesting to see that no one was bothered about the word "settler" in 1936 as seen in these sample sentences for reading instruction.

Social Studies was also oriented towards cooperation, critical thinking, & open mindedness

Also interesting to see excellent use of lip sounds which is part of best practices in 2022

Keep Alberta curriculum progressive and fiercely advocate to #DitchTheDraft and restore the 2018 draft.
