1/ 🧡 WHY do the markets & especially #crypto markets make you feel bad even if your portfolio is growing up?

And WHY do they do it 90% of the time?

I've decided to write this thread as I've seen more & more people struggle with this problem

Find out below why πŸ‘‡ Image
2/ Markets are a very tricky place.

They tend to mess with our heads more than we probably realize & yet they are nothing but a visual representation of our collective psychology Image
3/ Let's be honest here... Have you ever felt bad that even though the coin you bought is going up, it's just not going up fast enough compared to the one you did not?

If you answered YES, trust me, you are no exception.

But let's dig into why & how to fight it πŸ‘‡
4/ Hypothetically speaking let's assume you are half the time right & half the time wrong.

That gives you:
β–ͺ️ 50% loss rate where you feel "bad"
β–ͺ️ 50% win rate where you feel "good".

Or at least you should. Right? Right?! Image
5/ Well... not really πŸ€”

Because as we spoke we need to divide those 50% where you "SHOULD" feel good into more parts.

It's exactly that time when you are given the option to choose from ten, twenty even a hundred of #alts or other assets to buy from.
6/ For whatever reason, you choose one over the other and hypothetically speaking they all go up.

But they won't be going up in the same way. Some will go faster & some slower.

This is where the problem comes up. The chances of you catching the fastest horse are very small. Image
7/ So even though yours is going up & it doesn't even need to be the slowest one, it can be the mean average, you are going to feel like you are underperforming the market.

So yes. The market is going up, and your portfolio is going up. But hey... Could be going up faster right?
8/ And here you are feeling bad while making money.

Tricky those markets are 🧐

But do you think it stops there? It doesn't.

πŸ‘‡
9/ Now even if you catch some fast horse, you were counting it against USD or w/e your fiat money is.

But now you gonna start calculating it against #BTC or #ETH

So you could be making money vs USD but losing vs #Bitcoin and feeling bad again! How crazy is that? Image
10/ But it doesn't work like that on the other side does it? Quite the opposite.

You can be losing vs USD but also vs #BTC & #ETH

Oh damn who made it be like this I'm gonna do things to him right? Haha

Fortunately, there are ways to fight it and I'll tell you how πŸ‘‡
11/ First of all you need to realize, that the chances you gonna catch the fastest horse are so small you need to give it up immediately and just come to this realization of being happy by just making money itself.
12/ Second, you need to give yourself nice but accomplishable goals for the year.

Trust me, there ain't a long-term profitable trader/investor that doesn't have monthly/yearly objectives he aims for.

If there is no goal, where are you aiming at?? Image
13/ The next: Good old diversification

You are upping your chances drastically to catch the best ones by choosing 10 options instead of 1

Yes you will not make as much as if you caught the best one but again the chances of you catching the best one are so small you will miss it
14/ This thread is by the way sponsored by
@PrimeXBT

u.primexbt.com/Jackis

You can trade $BTC or $USDT against other traditional assets like equities, commodities & so on using crypto as collateral which is very interesting to me

Use code JACKIS for up to $7K deposit bonus
15/ This way you minimize the risks while upping your chances of catching the good ones and you will still feel mentally much better.

Because let's say 4/10 of your options are going up. It's still better than again having bad luck and having the 1 that goes down
16/ So yeah going all-in on one thing can be great if you get lucky you catch it but the chances you do out of all the options are very small.

So if you prefer better mental health, this is the way.
17/ Not to mention if you are all-in on 1 and face the problems we discussed above, it can easily force you to make all kinds of mistakes.

Ever switched from a coin that was moving sideways for ages to something pumping right before it pumped? Yeaaaah...
18/ So as you can see markets work in a way where you can feel "bad" 90% of the time even if you are making money.

Not to mention that markets trend only 30% of the time, 70% rest is sideways which doesn't hit the proper dopamine effects. Image
19/ To summarize it, there ain't much room for you to "feel good" and you need to understand this.

Adopting some of the techniques I mentioned above greatly improves this feeling but doesn't erase it.

Only mitigates it and yet can be THE thing that changes everything for you.
20/ Thank you for taking the time to read this! πŸ™Œ

1/ 🧡 THE HIDDEN SECRET OF CHARTS - ORDERBLOCKS πŸ…

Have you ever heard of these mystical OBs yet and still struggle with what they really are or how to effectively use them in the charts?

In this thread, we gonna look in-depth into what they are and how to use them

πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ Image
2/ An Orderblock (OB) was widely introduced by an (in)famous trader ICT and through the years its concept has spread across the Crypto Twitter like a wildfire.

Nowadays they are being used by many traders on the platform in various ways.
3/ So what is it?

Sounds complicated but in its basic form isn't anything else but a Block of many Orders accumulated in a tight place

This OB is then a visual representation of a place where a lot of buying & selling took place

Its also heavily used by volume profile traders Image

Can you handle the mental pressure of trading/investing? 🧡

Find out below πŸ‘‡

1/9
A lot of VCs (Venture Capital) work in a way where they pick 10 startups, doesn't matter if #crypto or others, & just throw money at each

And they live off that single one that makes it while all those others disappear.

2/9
It's the same as if in trading you'd be taking 20-50R (Risk to Reward) trades and only 1/10 worked

And they still make tons of money this way

But can you live, mentally, with being wrong 9/10 times? That's the hard part. Cause we as human beings wanna be right all the time

Thread 🧡about the historical #Bitcoin Monthly performances since 2014

Surprisingly found out that the number of Green & Red Months is fairly even

🟩 Green - 52
πŸŸ₯ Red - 47

Is seasonality useful for #BTC?

What we can conclude from this data? Find out below πŸ‘‡

1/16
This sheet gives us an indication that nearly half the time the price is going up & down (ratio 1,1)

The thing is that the up months are way larger in % gains than the down months in % loss overall

When #BTC decides to go, it goes hard is what the sheet is telling us.

2/16
Gotta note I'm on purpose only including the data since 2014 as that was the year #Bitcoin started its log uptrend channel and basically the larger adoption.

Everything before was the very early stage and doesn't include, in my opinion, much relevant data going forward.

Many people feel frustrated as the markets have been moving down for close to three months now but only if they knew to wait a few more months before the last ever cheap #crypto buys.

Yes after this cycle low, there won't be any more cheap buys. So endure it.
We are still currently below 5% of the world's participation in the #crypto industry.

Big enough to know it's here to stay but small enough to present insanely cheap buys.

Everyone that's gonna mean something in the next decades will make be a buyer during this cycle low
Not many realize where we are in the adoption cycle so it seems. So swallow the frustration of the past months and get working, get learning

1/ MINI-THREAD on Psychological PA after dropπŸ“š

A lot of the time after such a severe dump a lot of bulls realize they were on the wrong side and wanna desperately get out on a retest

I've seen this countless times where price simply doesn't give this retest on the first try
2/ Instead, it creates false hope, front-running the area on the lower time frame resistances and creating another two or three legs/swings lower on the lower timeframes making all the bulls really anxious and selling their position as they psychologically can't take it anymore.
3/ At that point they are selling right into a higher TF support or close to it based on their emotions.

Price reacts to this heavy market selling and retraces above the next logical point of liquidity.

Right to a place they wanted to sell in the first place
