According to this video uploaded by the #russia side levelling of the #mariupol, #ukraine azovstal with #nazi #azov inside started few minutes ago. Can’t confirm / verify independently at the moment, waiting for more evidence.
Another development: RU claims that intercepted communication with #kyiv says that people in azovstal were forbidden from either negotiating or surrendering and nazi #azov members were ordered to shoot on sight anyone who decided to do so. That’d explain lack of communication +
with people in azovstal despite of the radio messages on all frequencies (video) and leaflets dropped on the plant area. It would also mean that international volunteers became hostages and essentially martyred in the name of the idea, not the actual need.
In the light of such information IMHO #russia should pause the attack and try to negotiate / give a little bit more time. Not to the #azov nazis but everyone else who did not wanted to die whilst being an actual hostage. Video of leaflets distribution attached.
Looks like #russia TU-22M3 bomber is on the way to the #azovstal #mariupol. The only thing we can do now is to pray for the people who were not allowed to surrender by the azov, (possibly) acting on #Kyiv orders.
I’d like to note that suddenly #mariupol tag and official news became really quiet about the Mariupol situation. Only BBC does the live reporting at the moment but nothing about the attack whatsoever.
