IDF strikes on #Gaza for the rocket fire earlier today have started.
Jets, helicopters and drones all reportedly in the air.
Explosion heard west of Khan Younis.
Strikes currently ongoing, Khan Younis area seems to be the focus so far.
Hamas reportedly launched several anti-aircraft missiles (likely Strela-2s) at IDF aircraft.
Doesn't seem like any hit.
Footage of one of the strikes.
IDF aircraft have withdrawn from Gaza, looks to be over for now.
Another angle.
Was a Hamas facility that was struck, has been struck before too.
No injuries reported, probably evacuated after expecting retaliatory strikes as they usually do.
IDF Statement: Tonight (Tuesday) warplanes attacked a number of components and destroyed a workshop for the manufacture of weapons by the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The attack was carried out in response to the launch, which was intercepted earlier this evening (Monday) by air defense fighters. The IDF holds Hamas responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip.

Palestinians claiming this is the first use of the Strela-2, not sure where they're getting that from as they've used them before, and fairly recently too...
I….I need context for this, did the Russian’s seriously create a fake air defense? This has to be a meme, no?
And yes im fully aware it’s a diversion tactic, but we have no context the image at all, do we have evidence that it was actually done by Russians from this image? No, we don’t, we can make assumptions it was but an image isn’t enough proof.
Here’s a topic on previous decoy(s) I’ve investigated.
Daddy Day Care - the staged edition, photos are off, but right now I’ve still go no sat imagery to look at, blast damage is heavy, probably means it’s in the vicinity of the impact, but as to were, unclear.
Building has another one in the vicinity. There are a few on the compound but none that I can easily see with a fence in the middle? Curious what building this is. Also possible the fence has gone in since sat imagery on Google was taken which im using for reference.
Thread - War between Wars - tiny bit of the details.
Alright - this will probably be a tad ramlbe-ish as I put together some of what I believe key pieces that have lead us to last nights missile strike on #Erbil, some of the threads included delve
This small thread will be high level but it’ll just look at some of the larger incidents over the recent period to take into consideration that last nights strike on Erbil wasn’t just a random incident but part of a “bigger picture”, this will focus mainly on Israel/Iran
We start with some of the recent history, the tussle of tankers, the shift tides, which appears to be moving from the deep sea incidents to more on shore. The move of “on shoring” events shows we have gone full circle to using the supply chains through air and land. But…
