About 500 000 of Ukrainians were deported to Russia for only 2 months. Some of them are on their way to labour camps like Gulag. Russians want to use them to build new cities in Siberia. Their passports taken away. Some of people managed to escape to the 3rd countries. /1
Among deported — 121 000 children. They are to be illigally adopted by Russian families. Russia want them to forget their origins, family, language. Either in schools or in Russians‘ homes they will be subjected to Russian propaganda. /2
I think it is the best answer why Ukraine can not fail this war. It would mean not peace, but much bigger numbers without the world knowing about it. /3
The most frightening events (committed by Russians, too) we were reading in history books about is happening now. There are still useful idiots who call us "too emotional". There are still people enjoying Russian ballet and concerts and those who want us to reconcile. /4
Damn it! /the end
While searching for proofs I came upon this tweet. 2 year ago. Deportation to Kazakhstan took place in 1929-1933 years. I am shocked about the speed of atrocities now. #neveragain#можемповторить
How Russians have managed to transport such large number of people? 1) They call it "evacuation". They shoot those who try to flee from the occupied territories to the 🇺🇦-controlled areas. To save lives, ppl agree to choose Russia instead. /1
2) Russians accuse Ukrainian Armed Forces in committing crimes. In occupied areas, 🇺🇦 media are cut off, it is replaced with 🇷🇺 propaganda. 🇷🇺 wear 🇺🇦 uniform while shooting. Ppl don’t have mobile connection to talk to those from 🇺🇦 controlled area and get alternative info. /2
Over 11 mln of Ukrainians have been displaced since 24th February — 5.1 internally or 6.5 mln abroad (UN data). In relative numbers, data seem to be reasonable. /3
New data: The mass deportation started on 18th February. Before the full-scale invasion, 90 000 were transported to Russia, inkl. over 1000 orphans.

Russia set up special #filtrationcamps to distribute people. After the “filtration”, some killed, some women raped. Others are transported to the remote regions of Russia. They are deprived of means of communication.

During the “filtration”, Russians take away their passports. Instead they receive “a paper”. It forbids to leave the place of residence for two years and obliges to work at the defined workplace.

Those who got access to internet or Ukrainian radio, could find out about the opportunities to leave Russia. Some advices published here in Ukrainian: nv.ua/ukr/ukraine/ev…
The official speakperson on deportation is Liudmyla Denysova, Ombudsman of Ukraine.
I hope 9th May parade in Germany will be suspended this year. Spreading of propaganda and praising the war have nothing to do with democracy.🇷🇺 and Soviet flags, Ribbon of St.George, andZ/V are symbols of terror. The last things Ukrainians fled from war want to see
Another shocking numbers. 1,4 mln people are living without running water in 🇺🇦 regions mostly affected by war. Additional 4,6 min people across Ukraine do not have access to safe water due to the water network and power cuts. Source: @UNICEF /1
Numerous water pipes have been damaged and can not be repaired because of constant shelling. Reportedly some were shot dead while standing in line for water (and other humanitarian aid). /2
People melt water out of snow, get raining water, poor it from the batteries and boilers, get it from rivers or scoop from the puddles. This water is ecologically dangerous and could cause diseases, but it could save their life from the dehydration. /3
[thread] 1/ #Russia uses in #Ukraine the same strategy as it used in #Syria — attacking fleeing civilians, controlling humanitarian corridors, bombing hospitals and spreading disinformation. Useful insights from @TheSyriaCmpgn
