Let's analyze the reason of:

Why #Lemons have become so costly?

Prices for a variety of critical commodities are rising, wreaking havoc on the average person.

Car, cement, petrol and housing prices are are all on the rise, adding to people's troubles.
But what can one do when lemon begins to cost ₹300-₹400 per kg.

Over the last few weeks, the price of lemon has touched unprecedented highs with a single lemon retailing between ₹10-₹15 in most markets
How much Lemon is Grown?

The fruit is cultivated in orchards that cover a total of 3.17 Million Hectares throughout the nation. Lemon trees flower and gives fruits three times a year.
Andhra Pradesh is the largest lemon-growing state in the country. The other main lemon-growing states are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha and Tamil Nadu.

The fruit is neither exported nor imported.
What is the reasons for the Hike?

One of the major reasons is the failure of the Hasta Bahar and the subsequent Ambe Bahar (February or Spring Flowering).

Last year's monsoon was quite favourable across the country, but the months of Sept and Oct saw heavy rains.
Because lemon orchards are extensively sensitive to excessive moisture, the Bahar treatment failed to owe to the significant rainfall and blooming did not occur.

This fruit is often preserved in cold storage and sold until the next Ambe Bahar fruit comes.
Farmers had smaller harvests to preserve this time resulting in a much-reduced crop.
Things Got Worse:

The Ambe Bahar fruit also suffered from unseasonal rain, with farmers reporting a drop in flowering during the initial phases.

Temperature has been rising since the end of Feb, forcing the younger fruits to drop off.
Hence the double blow has taken a toll on production.

Farmers and dealers predicted that this would be one of the few years when two Bahars failed in a row. Because of the few arrivals, lemon prices have reached new highs across the country.
When will things come back to normal?

Chances of an immediate price correction are dim, with traders ruling out any immediate improvement.

The next crop that can be expected to reach the market will be ready only after October, and only then arrivals will improve significantly.

A MASTER THREAD ON TOBY CRABEL'S - ORB (OPEN RANGE BREAKOUT STRATEGY) ⚡️🎯

MODIFIED INSIGHTS - Trade With Trend - Raunak A

RISK PER LOT - 1200/-
GAIN PER LOT - 4500/-

LIVE EXAMPLE ON #BANKNIFTY - 14.03.2022

WHAT IS ORB ?
The most basic form of defining the range is to use the high/low of the previous day close and the high/low of the first 15/30 minutes of the open.

Here we will use the range definition using the previous days close high/low and the first 15 minute high/low.
Here range is defined as the open/high/low/close of first 15 minute candle. Usually in instruments like NF/BNF 15 min is the best timeframe tried and tested.

Usually this strategy will give a lot of whipsaws but the key here is to be consistent and take trades that popup.

TRADING PLAN
A trading plan can be as simple as deciding to buy above these levels and sell below these levels. Usually trading plan also called as homework has to be done one day prior to your trading day.

For FNO it might be a daily task. For cash players it can be weekly.
TREAT IT AS A BUSINESS
Trading is one of the most flexible businesses out there. It's you who decide to run the shop or close it for a day. Always treat it like a business. Calculate your loss, sunk cost, depreciation, bad debts etc too. Yess trading had these terms too.
