Good time to read through the lies, decode and understand #AadhaarSpeak - which is creative form of lies.
1. Ownership structure same as NPCI means - no accountability to public, parliament - while projecting itself as state to businesses and deciding who gets to participate.
ONDC was born out of COVID pivot to "Open Shared Mobility Foundation" - a non-profit by @NandanNilekani that focussed on urban mobility and since COVID lockdown meant mobility will reduce, they pivoted to e-commerce.
It has been practice of @NandanNilekani to lobby government to get himself inserted into committee with his friendly bureaucrat & setup data monopolies. UIDAI, NPCI, GSTN, DBT - All happened through it. Nandan started getting into govt since 2002
Unbundling and Re-bundling through the involvement of state - without any accountability is essentially building a autocratic structure that lets billionaires control the entire market - sans political capital in the long run
What if we built a surveillance friendly data collection network around e-commerce and then lobby the govt to crush existing market and pick new winners?
Just like how UPI enables building financial profile by inserting itself into retail payments, moving on to IPO, ATM withdrawals. Beckn can be thought of ..
A demand surveillance layer, slowly inserting into all types of commerce. Retailers / Traders will be forced to pay for blessed entities in Koramangala - to remain in business. But hey its voluntary
1. For Governments - demand surveillance, population consumption surveillance 2. For Business - A slow killer before you hand over and become employee of Big Bania Retail.
If you look at the pressing issue - its the business environment. Our snake oil will help them be mesmerized into apps, battling games with tech - that keeps them occupied without time to think about profits.
From a buyers perspective, its giving up more data. Imagine telling the world about sanitary napkins through 50 intermediaries and a data leak friendly environment.
The power of interoperability is so much - that even if you chose to not use any of apps, we will flood and arm-twist market such that - your purchasing habbits are profiled. Just like how facebook maintained profiles of those who never registered on them
Just to clarify, these are preliminary set of thoughts and there are lot more harms to individuals, businesses and state - but that is for another day.
We are looking for people to invest and work with us to push and sell snake oil. Working with us can get you future benefits like lunch meetings, fundings, policy lobbying oppurtunities.
Cleaning up laptop, found this August 2018 video. It should have been a story back then, but never pursued after the #Aadhaar SC judgement. You will see bogus entities having names of various places doing eKYC. This was how #eKYC was leaking data
Lets take a moment on how billionaires have publicist who seasonally write profile stories masquerading as news / opinions for years together. A thread 🧵 on @/SarithaRai articles on @/NandanNilekani
After all - If Nandan wants you to read his publicist's piece, why just one?

How much is the revenue loss determined by CAG? 1. 637 Crore eKYC x ₹ 20 = ₹ 12740 Crores 2. 2491 authentication x ₹ 0.5 = ₹ 1245.5 Crores
₹ 13985.5 Crores - revenue loss due to non-fixation of price. UIDAI made a "concious" decision to forego the revenue, without any trail
The @UIDAI justified the loss saying - that is what led to increased usage.
But a small fact - Charging eKYC to private operators has no relation to mandatory #Aadhaar for rations and office attendane (which was made around the same time period) that actually led to higher auth.
Enable bank UPI with #Aadhaar OTP timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/90… . This is a frankenstein monster, under the garb of supporting UPI123Pay / feature phone #UPI support and is compromising security risk for a majority of users. Lets understand in a #Thread
UPI PIN in addition to device binding constitute the 2 factors of authentication. As any #UPI user would know, (re)setting #UPI PIN requires debit card authentication
Did you know banks don't issue debit cards in rural india? How will they use the feature phone UPI then ?
