1) Russia is inflicting lasting damage on wildlife and globally important wetlands. Experts warn that marine and wetland environments along the Black and Azov Seas face a particular threat.theguardian.com/environment/20…
2) Dead dolphins have been washing up in huge numbers on Black Sea beaches, not just in Ukraine but also in Turkey and Bulgaria. Researchers suggest sound pollution is likely to be a factor in their deaths, including possible sonar interference from the Russian navy ships.
3) Russian propaganda denies this. "Poor nutrition, bottom net by-catch and disease are the biggest threats to dolphins," news website TASS quotes a Russian expert.
4) This expert also said that "suspension of large-scale industrial fishing due to military action will save the lives of thousands of animals." Can you imagine this? Russian invasion saves dolphins, Russian propaganda says. @TextyOrgUa #GreyZone #AgainstRussianLies
5) Ordinary Russians are not very fond of dolphins as well. A Russian outlet reports that in Sevastopol, a man derided an ill dolphin, while in Anapa, an elderly couple roasted a dolphin on fire right at the beach. @TextyOrgUa #GreyZone #AgainstRussianLies

1) Thread: Two British citizens and a Moroccan captured by Russians while fighting for Ukraine have been sentenced to death by the so-called "DPR court." bbc.com/news/uk-617455…
2) "DPR" is merely a Russian proxy in eastern Ukraine; therefore, all the responsibility for this decision lies on the Kremlin. This is increasingly clear given the reaction of Russian propaganda to this news.
3) Alexander Sladkov, a correspondent for Russian state-owned media company VGTRK, is very happy about the "court sentence." He argued that "Anglo-Saxons" thought themselves to be better than other nations and now pay for this.
