1] Seems like debates over the structuring of CCC, just won't go away.
At face value, these conversations are political manure, that will certainly help grow our democracy.
Politically also, these conversations reinforces the position of CCC as the ultimate alternative.
2] Writing an article attached below, I did opinion that it would be naivety of the highest order, for CCC to behave, and for its supporters to equally demand that it behaves, as if Zimbabwe is a normal democracy.
4] Using above definition(s), how many times has CCC in general, & Adv Chamisa in particular, spelt out CCC founding ideas?
How does an institution proposing the removal of politicians from the 'center' replacing them with citizens, be accused of not having a political Ideology?
5] How does someone claim that an institution (CCC) arguing that the Zimbabwean liberation agenda has been hijacked & derailed, now needing to directed towards its logical conclusion, through the 'Chimurenga CheZimbabwe cheChina', has no ideas?
By definition, it's a set of agreed rules, collected through data; information; facts; proof; research & statistics, in collaboration with members, to ensure & reflect a unified input.
7] From that definition, it should be clear to anyone expressing genuine interest in the CCC constitution, to realize that coming up with one is both easy & strenuous.
It's easy because anyone can sit down & write.
It's strenuous because it's a process needing due diligence.
8] For me, the argument can never be about whether or not CCC needs a constitution.
Rather, the confusion for me, is why those who've admitted not being supporters of CCC, are at the forefront of demanding it's constitution.
Remember what they did with the MDC-T 'constitution'?
9] Be that as it may, I'm not suggesting CCC shouldn't have a constitution for the sole purpose of frustrating ZanuPF. (though it's admittedly funny)
In any case, that constitution could very well be instrumental in protecting the institution from ZanuPF.
The funniest of the them all, is the insinuation that CCC doesn't have structures
By definition, a political structure typically involves a single party leader, a group of party executives, and a community of party members, who all hold similar political ideas.
11] Put differently, a political structure allows for the fulfillment of political actions.
Sadly for our scenario, our understanding of 'party structure' is actually a few powerful individuals (usually men with access to resources), wielding political authority over the rest.
12] If one opts to draw back, starting off from the #idea of having citizens at the center, one realizes that CCC wants to depart from "party positions politics".
Alternatively, as far as CCC is concerned, citizens in their communities, should all be "Change Champions".
13] If its about "politically organizing", CCC does have structures.
How else did CCC manage, in weeks, to organize for elections, conduct countless political gatherings, and even win those elections, if it was "structure-less"?
Who once said, the end justifies the means?
14] However, if the conversation is on the ineffectiveness of CCC's political organization, that perhaps it deserves its own attention.
Claiming CCC is structureless, is an unscientific, misleading & nonsensical insinuation, that is also an expression of political illiteracy.
The other noise has been with regards to the CCC inaugural congress, apparently to 'legitimize the leadership of Chamisa & his executive'.
Unsurprisingly, the rallying call for that Congress as exactly what's wrong with those very calls, exposing hidden motives.
16] For parties that traditionally hold Congresses, election of officials is just but one of the functions of such gathering.
Other functions include policy adoption.
Sadly for us, we fixate on internal bickering & political contestations, exposing our animalistic tendencies.
17] It's not surprising that CCC's political opponents, want the party to go for an internal election, so close to a national one.
It's certainly not farfetched, to suspect that the intention is to keep CCC internally focused, at a time when national elections are fast looming.
18] While the intention is not to dismiss so called "internal democracy", history has unequivocally showed that there's no relationship whatsoever between internal party elections, & national ones.
Ultimately, "legitimacy" comes from non-party citizens, in their millions.
1] Over the last couple of days, one of the most dominant topics on the blue-streets, has been the Ian Smith story
After all is said and done, what the proponents of the "Smith was better" narrative are simply expressing, is absolute disillusionment with ZanuPF's disastrous rule
2] If ZanuPF's leaders were self-respecting, they would use this debate to self introspect.
When you're a "liberation" movement, and you govern people who think you're worse than a colonial government, it means you've betrayed the liberation agenda itself.
Sit back & reflect.
3] Being combative & accusing those expressing that sentiment, of suffering from a colonial hangover, or being proponents of "a regime change agenda" is a useless, overplayed card.
Equally, claiming that those sentiments are an indictment on Chamisa, is foolishness on steroids.
1] 'Mukoma' knows all too well, that this claim of political parties being "equal partners" is political blasphemy.
It's only in church, before Christ, where humans are "equal".
Institutions, by whatever benchmark, can't be "equal", more so, those competing for popular support.
2] Mukoma knows that this very understanding of a hierarchical order was the reason why the "MDC-A agreement" which he's passionate about, allocated seats in 2017/18, unequally.
That placement, was advised by electoral weight, and what each party brought to the proverbial table.
3] Mukoma, also claimed that he had taken over the MDC-A Leadership, by virtue of being MDC-T Leader, as the latter was the "biggest party in the ALLIANCE".
By so doing, mukoma actually permanently relegated the rest of the "ALLIANCE partners", to playing "second fiddle".
1] I see that some citizens in the yellow movement couldn't resist this nonsensical invitation to draw comparisons between Dr Tsvangirai and Adv Chamisa.
The tragic part being that some even began ridiculing Dr Tsvangirai, as an expression of trust in Adv Chamisa's leadership.
2] Firstly, the G40's (many of whom didn't go to war), equally had no respect for Dr Tsvangirai whatsoever, over exaggerated 'fundamental political differences'.
For them, vitro towards Dr MRT made them feel militant & gave then a sense of belonging, in the 'liberation party'
3] Secondly, it's quite patronizing, for ex & current ZanuPF leaders, to say 'Tsvangirai had courage'.
What they actually mean is that he withstood their name calling, torture & murder, electoral theft, among other actions against him.
1] @CCCZimbabwe continue to do unorthodox politics.
Many would recall that the citizens movement has since done away with 'VIP tents' practice, a seemingly harmless old system, which sadly carries with it, far-reaching yet strong hidden meanings.
2] Though not admittedly unique to us as a nation, the divide between the elected (bosses) and the electors (povho) has continously been allowed to widen.
Usually citing security concern (at times conviniently), the elected seldom use services used by those who elected them.
3] Most times, the irony of it is that the poor state of some of the services, are a direct consequence of their (the elected) inability to govern.
Frustratingly, some amongst the affected, are at the forefront of rationalizing these nonsensical practices/behaviors.
So #1, we are all supposed to believe that a case involving a noisy dog at a club resulted in Mr P Jamba dragging its owner who is 'accidentally' his former lover, whom Mr Jamba also accused of 'dumping him', after 'wasting so much money on her'?
2/ And #2..
We are supposed to believe that this Mr P Jamba, who was so angry that, throwing all sorts of accusations & eventually dragging Miss Moreblessing Ali into the night (for 6 days now), actually only 'accidentally' hit her friend Kirina Mayironi while aiming at a dog?
3/ And #3...
We are supposed to believe that Karina Mayironi, who as per the statement,, ran for her dear life into the club after being missed by the catapult, only simply 'left for her home', whilst her friend was being dragged nowhere into the night by the angry Mr P Jumba?
"Thank you Kwekwe Central & Mbizo constituencies for voting for us. We don't take your trust & your vote for granted. However the game is still on. The real game is coming in 2023 & I'm ready to finish it off. Everyone should be registered to vote come 2023."
"Your overwhelming by-election vote is a humdinger of things to come. When a woman starts spitting, it's a sign the pregnancy is now there. Start buying preparations, a baby called 'New Great Zimbabwe' is coming. It can't be undone. The pregnancy is there"
"However, when a pregant woman starts making preparations for the baby's arrival, witches also start preparing its death. Violence has become a perennial problem in this province (Midlands), particularly in Kwekwe where the demon of violence is headquartered"
