Notice the order of who gets the benefit. -|- "This environment has enabled many state legislatures to focus on improving their dental Medicaid programs for dentists ..."
" ... and patients."
"The ADA believes that ensuring states provide comprehensive dental services to all Medicaid beneficiaries is an important issue for dentists, the dental profession ..."
" ... and patients."
“For too long, dental benefits under Medicaid, particularly for adults, have been like an ‘on/off’ switch for patients, with states turning the switch off whenever budgets get tight. This inconsistency is confusing and unfair to dentists ..."
" ... and patients alike,” said ADA President Cesar R. Sabates, D.D.S."
Zero #prevention entertained.
None.
Nada.
Zip.
A big goose egg.
Actually wanting to provide "continuous access",
even though everyone says tooth decay is largely #preventable. #PityThePatients.
But but but ... do we not want #Dentistry & #Medicine to be 'integrated'?
😁
-|-
"The Florida Dental Association advocated to keep the state’s dental Medicaid program from being merged into the state’s medical managed care Medicaid program."
"The state association accomplished this despite a strong push from state Medicaid officials and in doing so, ensures that Florida’s Medicaid program will continue to be well-funded and accessible."
Success is guaranteed, we promise! Ignore the fact that tooth decay is not being #prevented today, pay no attention to the failure of #Dentistry to prevent dental disease. -|- "Illinois - The state budget includes $10 million to increase rates for #preventive#dental services."
Isn't Tennessee one of the most heavily dosed states in the #USA? Why, yes, yes it is!
Nine of ten citizens of the The Volunteer State '*benefit*' from '*optimally*' #fluoridated water.
😆
And the #Dentists in the Hog and Hominy State are busier than a one armed paper hanger.
Look around the #USA. The teeth are in abysmal condition, and it is not going to get better on its own. It appears that no one wants the patients oral health to be maintained, and only want to treat illness.
All the King's horses
and all the King's men
are responsible for this.

"Fluoride was found to be a cytotoxic agent to cultured human pulp cells by inhibiting cell growth, proliferation, mitochondrial activity, and protein synthesis."
"Bioavailable #fluorine is killing us. -|- "In the cellular immunity, we found that sodium fluoride (NaF) in excess of 12 mg/Kg resulted in a significant decrease in the percentages of CD3+, CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+ T lymphocytes in the peripheral blood." researchgate.net/publication/31…
To start this weeks #FluorideFriday session, we talk bout overfeeds, accidental poisoning and #fluoridation.
The #StannousFoilHat wearing types do not like to talk about this issue. Never have, either. This from the infamous 1951 meeting.
"The barrel wouldn't fall through."
However, overfeeds are a common issue, along with underfeeds. This Spring it happened again. richmond-il.com/wp-content/upl…
Have no fear, though, it is only a '*cosmetic*' dental problem.
No, no it doesn't. The #prevention of dental disease is in the patients hands, thank goodness. Now if only #Dentistry would get behind #prevention, that would be swell.
This is what an ineffective (worthless) #prevention regimen will get you. Instead of decreasing the need for clinical intervention, let's get another set of hands in the patients mouth!
