“…the relatively meager attention that has been paid to #LongCOVID is unfortunate because its health and economic consequences are likely to be every bit as substantial as those due to acute illness.” jamanetwork.com/journals/jama-…
“#Longcovid has been found in ppl w only mild initial illness. The most common symptom is fatigue. More severe cases involve damage to a variety of organ systems (lungs, heart, nervous system, kidneys, and liver have all been implicated), along with mental health impairment.”
“British population data suggest that 22% to 38% of people with the infection will have at least 1 COVID-19 symptom 12 weeks after initial symptom onset, and 12% to 17% will have 3 or more symptoms.
Rates this high translate to an enormous number of people with #LongCovid.”
It would be much cheaper in the long-run to contain the virus.
Unless you’re Pfizer.
This is an informative article from Keiser on how Pfizer influenced US (and poss global) pandemic policy w/direct quotes from their executives to investors about the endless profits they’re making Bc of our failure to control it. khn.org/news/article/p…
See for yourself. It is pathetic that we are relying solely on pharmaceuticals (that, let’s face it, aren’t working so well) instead of trying to prevent illness in the first place. khn.org/news/article/p…
“…while patients may recoil at the need for repeated injections — two boosters are now recommended for people 50 and older — the requirement is gold for investors.”
“Hopefully, we could be giving it annually and maybe for some groups that are high-risk more often,” CEO Albert Bourla told investors this year. “Then you have the treatment [Paxlovid] that will, let’s say, resolve the issues of those that are getting the disease.”
Frankly, if ppl aren’t scared abt #Longcovid#LongCovidKids, it’s out of ignorance or the regrettable belief that a “healthy” person who takes vitamins & runs marathons is exempt.
This virus is COMMONLY destroying organs, vasculature, causing strokes, diabetes, brain damage, fertility problems, early death etc & most seem blind to these facts. If ppl understood, they would stop saying “it’s just a cold.“ That is wrong. The acute infection isn’t the prob!
The problem is latency! The virus has evolved to become less acutely deadly but just as bad longterm, from what we know.
Latency is the reason you should avoid this virus & repeated infections when possible. It persists in organs, quietly..til it’s not quiet anymore.
