Lebanese composer #IhsanAlMounzer passed away today, Wednesday, after illness brought his 75 years to an end, 75 years that he filled with melody.

As a student, al-Mounzer hesitated between law and sociology. He began his career as a translator, before putting it all aside to follow his musical imagination.

then went on to lead the orchestra with the launch of Studio al-Fan. He headed the musical department of #RadioLiban in 1985, and soon became one of the most prominent composers and star-makers of the Arab world.

Al-Mounzer's melodies rendered dozens of songs immortal, notably "Kalimat laysat kal kalimat" and "Matrahak bi albi" by Majida al-Roumi, for whom he also composed an album of childrens' songs, "Shubbakak 'a shubbaki" and "Bukra byibrum dulabak" by #RaghebAlameh.
