CJI: The report is technical in the first part, then the part is by the overseeing judge. This is the joint report submitted and by the overseeing judge Justice Raveendran
CJI: a file containing on the responses received is also enumerated. some of the confidential aspects is on section 3 which deals with malware, properties therein and how law enforcement agencies act on it
CJI: Section 6 contains malware, attribution, section 7 contains material extracted from mobile devices which contains personal information. then is information used to create new malware. none of the members have taken a salary
CJI: Another report is about technicality etc by the technical committee. The Justice Raveendran report observes that misuse of any of the software and how civilians can be protected from such misuse. It is a lengthy report which also has bits on accountability
CJI: One recommendation is to enact a law on surveillance and improved right to privacy , enhancing cyber security of nation, strengthening the protection of right to privacy of citizens, then mechanism for raise grievance regarding surveillance which is illegal
CJI: Then the overseeing judge is about the enactment to fill the lacuna of the parliament. #pegasus
CJI: We are uploading it on the website and there is no secret. we are concerned about technical committee 29 phones were given... in 5 phones some malware was found but the technical committee says it cannot be said to be pegasus. they say it cannot be said to be pegasus
CJI: We will look into this and see which portions can be released
Sr Adv Sibal: we dont have portions which have national security implications but we need to know what was the malware and if a redacted version can be given to the ones who gave their phones #pegasus
Adv Vrinda Grover: Here my device was also examined and we need to know what was the malware as it was forensically examined. My client is also facing criminal charges
CJI: We constituted the committee after getting lot of feedbacks. We will look into how to move ahead

CJI: i have not even seen the report fully. we just saw it now
