On August 29, 2014, the Russian army ruthlessly killed the #Ukrainian soldiers who were leaving the besieged #Ilovaisk. The #Russian army in its beastly manner crushed Ukrainian soldiers with their howitzers and shot them in their backs.
In 2021, Viktor Muzhenko, the then Chief of the General Staff, said that on Aug.26 Ukraine unambiguously confirmed that it was fighting with the regular Russian army, not random terrorist groups with Russian nationals in them.
In August 2014, the Ukrainian army, which had almost reached the 🇺🇦🇷🇺 border, entered Ilovaisk, the key railroad spot that the Russians used for supplying weapons to its local combatants. As a result, #Russia sent several regular battalion tactical groups to help the “insurgents”
