I welcome Eric's attempt to understand American society, although I can't really relate to it. It's no good leaving it to social scientists, who haven't a clue, despite it being their supposed area of academic expertise.

I too have put a lot of effort into trying to understand my own & closely related societies like America, i.e. the West, which are the only ones I know anything about.

My most important insight is that the academics we look to as authorities on understanding society don't.

That may seem trivial, but it's not, because we look to academics as authorities in their particular areas of supposed expertise, & for good reason.

We look to astronomers to explain the heavens to us, which they can now do extremely well.

But this wasn't always the case. In the 16th & well into the 17th century, when America was already being settled by Europeans, most astronomers would have told you a lot of bullshit about the nature of the heavens, because they knew no better.

It's the same today with the social sciences & their understanding of society, the state & civilisation. #SocialScienceAcademia knows no better than the bullshit they teach their students, who go on to teach society at large. This is why our societies are in such a dire state.

This is why we have failed to instigate a #SustainabilityRevolution, the existential need for which we were warned about half a century ago, & is responsible for #GlobalWarming, #Ecocide, #WhiteSelfGenocide & our fast approaching #CivilisationalSuicide.

I understand the ideological reasons why academics cannot recognise #WhiteGenocide, i.e. the #GreatReplacement, but the evidence for #CivilisationalSuicide, which has befallen EVERY civilisation, is mountain high. Only, none is as blind as an academic who will not see.
