OLA fighters were also killed by a few Amhara residents that evaded

[3] a prior disarming campaign and tried to defend themselves from the onslaught of OLA. OLA fighters & supporters then came up with a complex web of disinformation that led to Amharas being blamed for the attacks. However, they proceeded with their campaigns to overtake zones in

[4] Wollega, including another locality called #Sekela in the same zone- #HoroGuduruWollega, the #Agamssa attacks took place where they vowed they will not allow similar resistance as they faced from Amhara residents in Agamssa. Indicating, that they were the same forces that

[5] attacked #Agamssa town.We ask all of our followers, members & supporters to read the report & disseminate it to all main stream media & human rights organizations, as this disinformation created a serious threat of extermination for all Amharas in Wollega & beyond in Ethiopia

[6] Addendum: there was a similar attempt at disinformation where OLA attacks against Amharas in Wollega in March/April 2021 were blamed on the victim Amharas dubbed as Fanos. TPLF supporters were at the forefront of dissemination of the disinformation as they plotted to weaken

[7] Fanos that were defending their people in Amhara region, during TPLF's invasion into Amhara & Afar regions at the time. Similar support from TPLF social media accounts is being observed for this current disinformation. All Amharas that defend themselves from an attack may

[8] consider themselves as Fanos as it is a long held Ethiopian tradition that has particular roots in the Amhara community. However, all the disinformation reports claimed a Fano force that crossed into Oromo region, with a uniformed unit, which is categorically false.

[9] Also consider: 1. Roads between Wollega and anywhere in Amhara Region have been blocked. 2. Fanos have been targeted and disbanded across the Amhara region by Federal & Regional forces. 3. Remaining Fanos from Amhara Reg self-dispatched to war fronts to deter TPLF invasion.
