🚨 #DelhiHighCourt to hear bail plea of Umar Khalid, accused of larger conspiracy cases concerning #DelhiRiots of 2020. The plea is a challenge to a Delhi court order which found his role in the Delhi Riots conspiracy “apparent”, rejecting his bail plea.

Earlier, Special Public Prosecutor Amit Prasad had informed the Court that WhatsApp group chats show that the Shaheen Bagh was not an organic protest site, it was a created protest site, and the people were mobilized.

Bench: Mr Prasad we are very keen to conclude these matters, in a bail appeal we are going on since more than a month now.

Prasad referring to the WhatsApp chat submits that they were planning to jam whole Delhi. "Kehdo k hum Jamia se hai, sare Delhi ka chakka jam karenge", Prasad reads from the WhatsApp chat.

Prasad now referring to the Supplementary charge sheet, there was a meeting and a witness has given statement and the same thing transpired in the incident.

The statement of the witness said, "Khalid ne apni speech me kaha apke ilake me Bengal ko log zyada hai, unko CAA NRC k baare me batate raho, agar koi legal assistance chahiye toh hum denge."

Prasad Referring to the real time chats on February 23 of one Abdul Aziz stating that some people are going to Shaheen Bagh in buses and out of which 90% are women. More buses were sent from Jahangirpuri to Shaheen Bagh and there were total 6 buses, Prasad added.

Prasad: Sharjeel Imam says that we both are master minds of protests, this relates to the perspective that Shaheen Bagh was a protest site of Dadis and Nanis which shows that it was not an organic protest site.

Prasad argued that Sharjeel says 370, Kashmir, Ayodhya hua CAA NRC toh bahana hai and the same thing was said by Khalid.

Prasad further reads from speech, "Hum wada karte hai, jab 24 ko Donald Trump Bharat ayenge tb hum batayenge k Hindustani sarkar or Hindustan ke Prime Minister desh ko batne ka kam karte hai or jab desh ko batne ka kaam kiya jayega Hindustan ki janta use jodne liye khadi rahegi."

Prasad states that on the part of conspiracy he'll conclude his arguments tomorrow.

Prasad: I have 16 witnesses statements it'll not take much time.

Bench: You include that in the written statement and both of you submit your written statements so it'll not take much time.

The bench will take up the matter at 2:15 PM tomorrow.
