Gun violence and crime are key issues for voters this cycle – and Democrats are effectively flipping the script by highlighting that it's the MAGA Republican agenda that puts profits for gun manufacturers ahead of public safety that’s responsible.

(h/t @POLITICOPro) 🧵
Last night, @Everytown released a new ad in #WISen highlighting how @RonJohnsonWI has enabled rising violence and new polling that shows the vast majority of Wisconsin voters support stronger gun safety laws that he’s continually opposed.
In #SC01, pediatrician and @MomsDemand vol @AnnieAndrewsMD’s first TV ad shows how gun violence devastates families and erases far too many lives – and yet her opponent @NancyMace votes against bipartisan gun safety bills.
In #CT05, @HouseMajPAC released an ad hitting GOP candidate George Logan for his opposition to common sense gun safety laws.
In the #NYGov race, @KathyHochul released a powerful ad featuring a survivor from the horrific shooting in Buffalo this summer, praising her for taking action to help save lives and prevent future gun violence.
In #ORGov, @TinaKotek has centered her campaign around the fact that she’s the ONLY Gun Sense Candidate in the race – and continues to highlight those contrasts in her ads:
In #GAGov, @GeorgiaDemocrat and @StaceyAbrams have gone after @BrianKempGA’s extreme and dangerous Criminal Carry law.
In #TXGov, @GregAbbottTX’s inaction on gun safety is being relentlessly attacked on the airwaves with powerful ads like this from the group “Coulda Been Worse” – which is how Gov Abbott disgustingly described Uvalde.
We’re fighting back and shining a light on the real culprits that have enabled this violent crime and gun violence by allowing unfettered and easy access to guns: MAGA Republicans. #MAGAIncitesGunViolence

This November, we must fight up and down the ballot to reject this extremism and elect gun sense champions.

THIS IS NOT OK: Republican Judge Kellie Johnson was appointed to the Pima County Superior Court by Republican Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey just ruled that the state legislature can make abortion illegal.

In 45 days, our safety and freedoms are on the ballot. cnn.com/2022/09/23/pol…
Arizona GOP Attorney General Mark Brnovich, who led the legal process to try to get Arizona’s pre-statehood ban on abortion put back into effect after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade in late June, tweeted that he was pleased by the decision. #thisisnotok #azleg
To be clear, this is a ban from FUCKING 1901 that is now being enforced by Republican Arizona lawmakers and judges.

Please, please, please get activated and get out the vote. Our rights are disappearing and MAGA Republicans won’t stop at abortion.

Polls show US Senate candidate Adam Laxalt is disliked by Nevada voters, and for good reason. He opposes abortion rights and gun safety. That’s why he lost the governor’s race in 2018. Now we need to make sure he loses in 2022.

Adam Laxalt starred in an @NRA ad opposing the 2016 background check initiative. After voters passed it, he argued he could not enforce it, and has fought in court to stop the implementation of the background check law. Imagine what he’d do as a Senator...
And as Nevada’s Attorney General, Adam Laxalt filed amicus briefs backing abortion bans in Nevada and other states, including Alabama and Texas. He also called the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision “a joke” and said it’s “sad” that Nevada isn’t anti-abortion. thenevadaindependent.com/article/laxalt…

NEW: During #SuicidePrevention Awareness month, @Everytown and @nyugrossman analyzed data from 750 cities finding that gun suicide in cities has increased over the past decade and now makes up over 4 in 10 city gun deaths. Here’s what else we found… 🧵
abcnews.go.com/Politics/gun-s…
Cities in states with the strongest gun safety laws have about half the rate of people who die by gun suicide as those in states with the weakest laws, demonstrating the importance of legislative action in preventing gun violence in cities. #SuicidePrevention
Cities with the most gun shops experience nearly 4x higher rates of people who die by gun suicide than those with the fewest gun shops, signaling the importance of expanding cities’ focus beyond illegal guns. #SuicidePrevention

I would typically let this go, but Clay is a a Tennessee business leader and this tweet was liked by his colleague @EdwardBurchTN.

Armed teen serial killers ARE political, Clay. Otherwise, your governor wouldn’t have signed the permitless carry bill at a fucking GUN FACTORY.
Saying teen serial killers will get access to guns no matter what is INSANE. You know why, @ClaytonRWalker and @EdwardBurchTN? BECAUSE IT DOESN’T HAPPEN IN PEER NATIONS.

States with weak laws have more gun violence; states with strong gun laws have less. cnn.com/2022/01/20/us/…
So guys, let’s extrapolate that data to your state. Tennessee has the 8th-highest rate of gun homicides in the US. In an average year, 1,273 people die by guns in Tennessee. And you’re “businessmen” - did you know gun violence costs Tennessee $18 billion EACH YEAR? #tnleg

GOP ABORTION LANGUAGE SCRUB: Blake Masters removed language that said, "I am 100% pro-life.” House candidates Tom Barrett of Michigan, Christian Castelli in North Carolina and Barbara Kirkmeyer in Colorado removed similar language from their websites. axios.com/2022/08/31/rep…
Minnesota's GOP nominee for governor, Scott Jensen, removed a line saying he "believes in the sanctity of human life, from conception to natural death." In Oregon, GOP gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan scrubbed her website's issues page, removing pro-life bonafides.
Gov. Mike DeWine scrubbed his campaign website of references to the law he signed imposing a ban on abortion at six weeks into a pregnancy, and won’t say if he supports Ohio Republican lawmakers’ plans to consider banning abortion completely. #ohleg cleveland.com/news/2022/09/j…
