- Jon Stewart GOING IN ON the Senate Republicans who killed the PACT Act that would have helped veterans affected by toxic burn pits, simply because they’re mad about reconciliation.
To be fair, PACT might not be dead. I believe it can still get passed if the House simply passes the original Senate version of the bill. But the fact remains is that, as Jon says, today was supposed to be a day of celebration, and the GOP thwarted it out of pure spite.
“They don’t give a shit about veterans!”
This rightfully furious individual manages to cut to the chase even more succinctly than Jon Stewart.
And she’s right.
Republicans who tanked PACT don’t give a shit about veterans.
