#BREAKING:Adding insult to injury @KCCouncil says NO Cantonese language translation for 200 plus #Chinatown-ID elders expected to attend Tuesday’s council meeting to protest Dow Constantine’s (@kcexec)HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. #CID organizer says council was given nearly 2 weeks notice.
ROUND THREE: Again, vast majority of protesters on Tuesday will be 70-80 year olds who live in #Seattle’s #Chinatown-ID. They have the most to lose. Organizers say multiple coach buses will be used to transport elders to @KCCouncil chambers for public comment. Plan👇🏽 #Seattle
FACING THIS: Since early September #Chinatown-ID has fought ferociously against Dow Constantine’s(@kcexec) HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. They’re also battling SPIN from city/county officials trying to FRAME it as #CID vs. HOMELESS when in reality they’re already shouldering most of burden.
MOST WERE A NO SHOW: #Chinatown-ID reps @cmkshama and @CMTammyMorales did NOT show in person to face protesters last week.On Tuesday #CID is hoping @KCCouncil has the GUTS to face a bunch of Asian American senior citizens in person. What’s the over/under? I say 5 show. #Seattle
MAJOR PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERNS: Law enforcement agencies are down officers across board, especially in #Seattle. Even Chief Adrian Diaz is concerned about Dow Constantine’s(@kcexec) HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. What’s the public safety plan? #Seattle
LOOK AT ELDERS CLIMB STEPS: Hundreds marched from #Chinatown-ID to #Seattle City Hall. For the seniors, so much is at stake as they try to hang on to what’s left of their community’s cultural identity.
HOMELESS+DRUG CRISIS:

#Chinatown-ID already has more than 10 shelters in or around neighborhood. Most in any #Seattle community. They claim it’s an unfair burden.

It was a much smaller group the first time inside @KCCouncil chambers. Tuesday is expected to be packed. #Seattle
REPS MIA: @cmkshama and @CMTammyMorales are the official @SeattleCouncil members for #Chinatown-ID. But none of them have come out in person to support their constituents in fight against Dow Constantine’s(@kcexec) HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. #Seattle
BROKEN TRUST: Up to this point, #Chinatown-ID say Dow Constantine(@kcexec) is no longer welcome in their community if he RAMS through his HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. #Seattle

#EXCLUSIVE: They're back! RV's set up again near 7th Ave S. & S. Fidalgo St in GEORGETOWN after sweep. I've obtained surveillance video showing guy removing "ECO-blocks." Neighbors+biz owners pleading with @seattledot and @MayorofSeattle to enforce.#Seattle
RIGHT NOW: Entire street was cleared by @seattledot @SeattleSPU @MayorofSeattle a few months ago. I was there when crews moved in. I also saw aftermath when biz owners quietly moved in "ECO-blocks." Technically illegal to use. This is now a FULL BLOWN street war. #Seattle
THE DUDE: Biz owners say guy with the hat and orange shirt chained up "ECO-blocks" and dragged several to the side of the road so RV's could move back and park. @seattledot says anyone bringing in these blocks are illegal. What about moving them to the middle of road?#Seattle

REMEMBER THIS? @CMTammyMorales made this statement as #Chinatown-ID in #Seattle was trashed and looted by violent activists. Many Asian Americans have not forgotten and are feeling victimized again by this HOMELESS MEGAPLEX. They want to know: “Where’s our social justice?”
REMINDER: 2 years ago, ANTIFA/violent extremists hijacked the #BLM movement, using it as a Trojan Horse, to trash #Chinatown-ID and other parts of #Seattle. Happened under former Mayor Jenny Durkan+former Police Chief Carmen Best. Days later @CMTammyMorales justified the looting.
IS THIS FAIR? Now you know why #Chinatown-ID+many Asian Americans feel left behind/caught in middle AGAIN. Two years ago, @CMTammyMorales JUSTIFIED looting and trashing of #CID in the name of a social justice movement. Now community is being asked to shoulder HOMELESS CRISIS.

COMMON THEME: King County Executive Dow Constantine(@kcexec) is the chief architect. Look at his response and behavior so far, totally ignoring #Chinatown-ID as they beg him for a moratorium so residents can get in some community input. 👇🏽
ALWAYS PART OF GRAND MASTER PLAN: Of course, no one told #Chinatown-ID the community would become the CENTRAL HUB and basically the center of operations for #Seattle’s homeless crisis. But it’s all starting to make sense. @KC_RHA Marc Dones dismisses PUBLIC SAFETY concerns.

MY ENCOUNTER: Appreciate all the support. But I’m not looking for an apology. Dow(@kcexec) just acknowledge #Chinatown-ID. They want a moratorium on your HOMELESS MEGAPLEX and a voice in decision making process. Seems reasonable since they will SHOULDER most of burden.#Seattle
@kcexec MOVING FORWARD: I know optics don't look good for Dow Constantine(@kcexec), since it appears someone from the MAJORITY CULTURE is disregarding a minority journalist as @thehoffather points out. But I will always ask for Dow's side of the story. #Seattle

COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS: Last month I BROKE story about homeless encampment on N.96th St spiraling out of control in Licton Springs/Greenwood neighborhood in #Seattle. Instead of "eco-blocks" look at community garden NOW WORKING as deterrent against tents! @MayorofSeattle @seattledot
PURELY DRIVEN BY NEIGHBORS: They are now raising money to sustain this project! Many are immigrants from Asia and Africa, sacrificing so much to buy homes in #Seattle. They say they are now on THEIR OWN, and will have fight to protect their community.

PLANTING SEEDS: Neighbors say they will need to raise closer to $5k to sustain this project and will be turning to Deputy Mayor Tiffany Washington to help with this community project. This could turn into a viable solution vs. controversial "eco-blocks."
