“You really think this will work? He’s the number one hero.”

“Rumor has it he lost his quirk.”

“But he lives with DynaMight. They want us to break into his house.”

“But the one who paid for the hit is close with DynaMight. We won’t be outed.”

“No way. Who?”
Akane Akira, a low rate villain who is used to doing nothing more than petty theft questioned his accomplices.

“They want that to be a secret.” Santa Suki, the ring leader of their little gang put her finger to her lips. “But let’s just say, it’s the last person you’d expect.”
“I don’t know…” Sumino Yuki, the youngest of them all who was wearing a Hero Deku T-Shirt started to back up. “Do we really have to attack him?”

“Heh, kid, this is the most money we’ve ever been offered. And apparently all we have to do is scare him.” The oldest of them grunted
He was large burly man who only went by Slug. “We’re not gonna kill your favorite hero.”

“DynaMight will be on patrol out of town at 3:00. Deku returns home from teaching at UA at 4:00. So the best time to strike is 4:30.” Sumino informed them. “So we meet here in 3 hours.”
Everyone nodded in agreement except for Yuki who looked at all of his accomplices anxiously.

“Yuki?” Akane raised his brow at him.

“Y-yeah. Let’s do it.”

Katsuki woke up at his favorite hour, 12 noon. Thank God his patrol was later in the day but something bugged him.
His sleep was uninterrupted. Normally he gets woken up at 7 AM by his childhood friend/roommate/former hero partner/whatever the hell their relationship could be called now snoozing his alarm a million times then rushing around to get ready to teach at the last minute.
But not this morning. Katsuki jolted out of bed then rushed to Izuku’s room and pounded on the door.

“Nerd! Are you still home?!”

No response.

“Izuku?!” Katsuki kicked the door open. He was gone. He sighed to himself before being startled by two hands covering his eyes.
“Morning Kacchan!” Izuku’s cheery voice greeted him.

“What the hell are you doing here?! Why aren’t at work?!” Katsuki barked.

“I was at work! But I left home on my lunch break so I could surprise you!” He giggled excitedly.

“Surprise me with what?! Why?!”
Izuku finally let go of his eyes and grabbed his wrist to rush him out the door.

“You’ve been so amazing taking care of me ever since I lost One for All, I had to show you my appreciation and I got the call from the shop today that it was ready and I couldn’t wait to show you!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. Izuku didn’t have to get him anything. Really, he was doing him a favor by letting him do the caretaking. Because Katsuki was hopelessly in love with him. It was clear Izuku had some sort of feelings for him too. But both of them were playing chicken.
Neither willing to make the first move and risk whatever it was they were for something greater that had the potential to destroy them from the inside out if it went wrong.

“TA-DA!” Izuku cheered as he flung their front door open. Katsuki was in shock.
Sitting on their driveway was a custom Great Explosion Murder God DynaMight themed Harley Davidson Motorcycle. The colors matched his hero costume and the customs helmet even had his trademark spikes.

“Are you shitting me?!” Katsuki said excitedly. He’d always wanted one.
But the one thing actually stopping him was Deku himself who always whined about how dangerous they were despite them putting their damn lives on the line every single day! Izuku had protested and protested ever since graduation and now…

“What changed your mind?!”
“N-nothing really! I guess I was just scared and I still am! But I trust you’ll be careful and you just have to promise me you’ll wear the helmet ok-AAAH!” Izuku began to babble before Katsuki picked him up by the waist and span him around. He had half the mind to kiss him.
But didn’t. He couldn’t. Not yet. Not now. There had to be a right time. A right place. Instead they just stared at each other longingly like they always tended to do. Neither willing to cross the line. These standoffs were becoming more and more frequent.
Katsuki’s eyes trailed down to Izuku’s lips which were slightly trembling. He had never been more tempted to give in.

“Woah! Am I interrupting something?” Kaminari Denki questioned as he walked up to their house.

“Oh! Hi Kaminari-kun!” Izuku’s face turned red.
“Why are you here so damn early, Pikachu?!” Katsuki snapped. Ever since Izuku was forced into early retirement, Kaminari and Katsuki had worked together on a lot of missions. This upcoming one being one of them.

“Woah! Nice bike!” Denki deflected.
“Isn’t it great?! I got it for Kacchan as a thank you present for helping me after I lost my quirk.” Izuku beamed.

“Maybe I should help you instead!” Denki laughed.

“Like you would remember all the fucking pills he needs to take at what times.” Katsuki scoffed.
One for All had did a number on Izuku’s body. And after losing it, he had to have intense physical therapy and had a dubious medicine schedule for all the aches and pains in muscles and bones.

“I could try if it means I get one of these bad boys!” Denki joked.
He moved to touch it before Katsuki snapped.

“Don’t lay your hands on it!” He finally removed his arms around Izuku’s waist much to the smaller guy’s visible disappointment and marched over to the bike before getting on it. “Not before I’ve taken her for a spin.”
“Just be careful!” Izuku reminded him as he started it up.

“Yes Mom!” Katsuki stuck his tongue out before lazily throwing the helmet on his head. He took off and Izuku smiled at how much joy he had on his face. He hoped his present wouldn’t be something he regrets buying.
“So…” Denki laughed nervously. “You get that for him for any other reason?”

“What do you mean?” Izuku blinked innocently.

“I don’t know, that must have been pretty expensive Midoriya. Custom and everything. He might get the wrong idea.” Denki pointed out.
Izuku shifted on the balls of his feet before looking at his watch. “Ah! I gotta back to UA! Tell Kacchan for me?”

“Yeah! Don’t worry about it!” Denki waved as Izuku ran to his bicycle and rode away.

“Kaminari! You’re here early!” Kirishima drove up in his car.
“I live down the street.” Kaminari chuckled. “They really have everyone on this mission, huh?”

“Yeah.” Shoto said from Eijiro’s passenger side. “Seems like it.”

“You guys too?!” They all looked up at the sky where Ochaco descended.
“Why’d you all decide to meet here?” Denki grumbled.

“To make sure Bakugo woke up.” They all said at once before laughing.

“Yeah, he’s awake.” Denki sighed.

“Was that Midoriya I saw on his bike?” Eijiro questioned.

“Why isn’t he at the school?” Shoto asked worriedly.
“He wanted to surprise Bakugo.” Denki informed them.

“Is it his birthday?!” Shoto panicked.

“No, he got him a motorcycle to ‘thank him’” Denki put his fingers in quotation marks.

“Woah! Really?!” Eijiro blinked as Ochaco bust up laughing.

“They should just get married.”
“They’re not married?” Shoto looked lost.

“No man, they’re just roommates like you and me.” Eijiro informed him.

They were interrupted by Katsuki swerving back into his driveway. He ripped his helmet off and shook out his hair as he grinned wildly before frowning at his friends
“What the fuck are you all doing here? Where’s Izuku?!” He snapped.

“He went back to work.” Denki informed him.

“He should have waited! I would have taken him!” Katsuki frowned.

“Come on lover boy, get ready! We have a mission.” Ochaco rolled her eyes.
“What did you just call me?!” Katsuki seethed.

“Oh nothing.” Ochaco whistled.

“Hey, cut it out Uraraka!” Denki said angrily.

“It’s just a joke.” She pouted.

“It’s not funny!”

“Kaminari, chill.” Katsuki grumbled.
“What crawled in your pants today?” Uraraka snapped.

“Just because you were in love with Midoriya doesn’t mean everyone else is!” Denki snapped.

“Woah! Not cool man!” Eijiro pouted. “We have a mission TOGETHER come on! We shouldn’t be fighting!”
“Right. I’m sorry.” Denki sighed.

“Remind me never to have this many of you on my damn lawn again.” Katsuki groaned.

“Just go get ready and stop complaining!” Ochaco stuck her tongue out, shaking off Denki’s attacks.
As soon as he was back in his home, she shoved Kaminari back.

“What’s your deal?!”

“I just don’t want you all to get his hopes up.” Denki grumbled.

“Why not?” Kirishima shrugged. “Midoriya’s clearly crazy about him.” He gestured to the motorcycle.
“I just don’t think they should be together.” Denki stated, startling everyone.

“Why not?!” Ochaco gawked.

“Look, I’ve worked with Katsuki for awhile now and…he needs someone who can keep up with him, you know? And Midoriya’s…well…”

“You’re not serious, are you?!”
Kirishima turned off his car angrily. He got out and slammed the door. “Are you really implying they shouldn’t be together because he’s QUIRKLESS?!”

“When you say it like that, it sounds bad! But, I mean, I just think there’s obviously going to be an imbalance you know?!”
“And what would Bakugo think about that, huh?!” Ochaco growled. “What would he do if I told him RIGHT NOW what you just said. I doubt you would be working with him much longer!”

“Look! I’m just concerned about it! Once the public knows Midoriya lost One for All,”
“He’ll be an easy target! Especially if he starts dating the new number one hero! Bakugo would be constantly worried about him!” Denki lamented.

“Bakugo would be worried about him anyway.” Shoto pointed out. “We all would. But he’s safer in this house than anywhere else.”
“Right. Nothing could possible happen to him here.” Denki grinned. “I’m probably just worrying for nothing.”

“Let’s just…” Eijiro sighed. “Focus on the mission.”

“Alright! Let’s get outta here!” Katsuki announced as his garage door opened.
He put the bike in it carefully and covered it before grinning at finally having something to put in the once empty room. He closed it and leapt on top of Kirishima’s car.

“Let’s go kick some ass!”

“Are you sure you don’t need a ride home, Midoriya-Sensei?”
One of Izuku’s students, a read headed girl named Sumi Rika questioned as she saw him get his bicycle. He appreciated her offer but he couldn’t but feel a little pathetic that a 16 year old was concerned about his safety and was probably more equipped to protect him than he was.
He wondered if this is how All Might felt after he lost his power.

“I’ll be fine, Sumi.” Izuku laughed. “I don’t live far.”

“I-I know! But I can help!” Her quirk was really cool. She could make anything she draws come to life. It only lasted temporarily but it was efficient.
“My doctor says I need the exercise! I’ll see you in class tomorrow, okay?” Izuku waved but she looked conflicted.

“It’s just…Niwa-kun had a bad feeling about you. So be careful okay?” She insisted. Niwa was a support course student who had a quirk similar to danger sense.
But it was unpredictable. He would get jitters whenever anything bad was about to happen. But it could be something extreme or something minor like coffee spilling. Izuku took it with a grain of salt.

“I’ll be careful, I promise.” He smiled.
He had a new appreciation for All Might’s struggles. He had all this power and then he lost it. And now Izuku was in the same boat but at least he had Kacchan. Kacchan never made him feel helpless. He encouraged him and took care of him and helped him keep his strength up.
When he got home and put his bicycle in their backyard, he let out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. Maybe Niwa had a bad feeling about someone else near him or something. Izuku got inside his home and prepared himself a bath. He hoped Kacchan’s mission was going okay.
He closed his eyes as the music he had playing in his headphones lulled him to a state of relaxation.

‘Untouchable burning brighter than the sun
Now that you’re close, I feel like coming undone’

A crashing sound made him snap his eyes open. He ripped out his head phones.
Izuku cautiously put his clothing back on as he heard muffled voices rummaging through his house. He took deep breaths. All of his friends that lived near were away on that mission. He dried his hair and bit his bottom lip.
He didn’t know who was in his home. But he had too many valuable collectibles to just let himself be robbed. Here goes nothing.

Yuki was in awe at Deku and DynaMight’s house. It was huge.

“Wow.” He whispered.

“Focus kid!” Slug scolded. “This isn’t a school trip.”
“In the bedroom.” Akane pointed up the stairs.

“Be on your guard.” Santa ordered. “He may not have his quirk but he wasn’t number one for no-” She began to say before a nunchuck like object flew from the stairs and wrapped around her throat before stunning her.
“Shit!”

Yuki watched in awe as Deku, his idol, the ideal he strayed from, slid down the guard rail and kicked Akane in the face knocking him over.

“Who are you?!” The former number one questioned.

“Someone much bigger than you!” Slug increased in size until he was monsterous
Deku didn’t even flinch as he swung his large hand to grab him. He instead used the guard rail to propel himself toward his throat which he proceeded to choke with his thighs.

“Bigger doesn’t mean better!” He stabbed Slugs eyes with sharp chopsticks he had in his pocket.
The monstrous man grew smaller as he wailed in pain and fell over.

Deku then glared into Yuki’s eyes, terrifying him. He was about to attack him before Akane used his quirk, one that allowed him to become stretchy and stick like gum, to knock Deku against the wall.
“Try getting away from that! Fallen number one.” Akane said menacingly.

“That all you got?” Deku looked at him like he was nothing more than an inconvenience as he grabbed his outstretched arm and pulled and pulled. “How far can you stretch?!”
He questioned before Akane’s limit was reached and his whole body was propelled forward until his face met Izuku’s fist which knocked him out cold.

“We have to retreat!” Santa demanded as she used her quirk which made her voice paralyzingly loud, causing Izuku to lose balance.
“Yuki! Get Akane! I’ll get Slug!” Santa ran toward the large man and slung him over his shoulder.

Yuki trembled and hesitated before rushing to his comrade. He pick him up when he saw Izuku’s leg coming straight for him.

“AHHHH!” Yuki cried before involuntarily using his quirk.
Thorned vines emerged from his back and pierced Deku’s side.

“AHHH!” The former number one screamed in pain as blood poured out of him while Yuki looked at him in shock.

“You idiot! You weren’t supposed to hurt him!” Santa chided.

“I’m…sorry!” Yuki retreated his vines.
Izuku clung to his side as he tried to collect himself and catch his breath.

“Fuck! He might not pay us now!” Akane groaned. “Come on! Let’s just go!”

Yuki began to cry as he ran after his boss.

“Wait!” Izuku screamed. “Who…paid you?”
Yuki looked back at him and swallowed the lump in his throat.

“Come on Yuki! Before DynaMight gets home!” Santa scolded.

“Don’t trust your friends. And please go see a doctor. There’s poison.” Was all Yuki said before running.

Izuku stared at them in awe. What the hell?

Katsuki was beat after that mission. He texted Izuku that all their friends wanted to celebrate it together so they were all coming over.

“What did he say?” Denki asked as they were in the car.

“Nothing yet.” Katsuki shrugged. He hoped he would say no.
But Deku was Deku and he would probably happily welcome all their friends into their home.

“Gee, I wonder why.” Denki laughed. “He usually answers you right away…right?”

“Probably fell asleep or something. Maybe you guys should just head home.” Katsuki grumbled.
“I hope he’s alright.” Denki smiled.

“Why wouldn’t he be alright?” Ochaco questioned, still reeling from their conversation that morning.

“I don’t know. It’s strange to not respond, don’t you think?” Denki laughed.

“Aizawa was always tired as a teacher.” Shoto pointed out.
“Maybe he’s just napping.”

“Yeah…” Katsuki agreed but something about it bugged him and he shot Izuku another text.

Still nothing. They got to his house and Katsuki was in a rush to get inside.

“Let’s just follow him.” Denki suggested.
They all got out of the car as Katsuki fussed with his keys. They met him at the door when he finally got it open and they were greeted by the most delicious smell and music playing.

“Kacchan!” Izuku beamed as he walked into the living room wearing an apron. “Oh and everyone!”
“Oh…Midoriya…you’re fine.” Denki grinned widely.

“Why wouldn’t I be?” Izuku questioned innocently.

“You didn’t answer my messages!” Katsuki snapped.

“I’m sorry! I was busy cooking your favorite!” He laughed to himself.

“Well I hope you made a lot!” Ochaco’s mouth watered.
“I actually did.” Izuku smiled. “Eri-Chan and Togata-San are coming over in a little bit. I’m sorry I didn’t message you about it Kacchan. I didn’t think you guys would be done so soon.”

“What are they coming here for?” Katsuki wondered.

“She just wanted to hang out with us!”
“B-but there’s plenty for everyone!” Izuku encouraged.

“All right!” Ochaco cheered.

“Thanks man.” Eijiro grinned and Shoto nodded along with him.

They all cheerfully helped themselves and recounted the mission as Izuku asked them questions.
“Enough about us. What were you up to today, Midoriya?” Denki wondered. “Anything eventful happen? Your house is like really clean.”

“Why wouldn’t it be clean?” Katsuki snapped. “I live here!”

“I know but-it looks like no one does, you know? That clean!”
“What were you expecting Kaminari-kun?” Izuku blinked.

“I don’t know…you just seem to be hiding something.” Denki said in a concerned tone.

“The hell?!” Katsuki elbowed him.

“You’re right.” Izuku stood up. “I am.”

“You are?” Shoto blinked.
Izuku walked to the kitchen and walked out with a laptop wrapped in a bow.

“I broke it that one time you asked me to bring it to you and I fainted.. And you never got mad at me, so I know I already got you the motorcycle, but I replaced this too. Thank you Kacchan.”
Izuku began to sniffle and Katsuki stood up before wrapping his arms around him while everyone cheered.

“You didn’t have to do that nerd.” Katsuki whispered.

“But I did. I’m just so grateful.” Izuku cried.
Denki sat there and grinned widely along with everyone else who was happy for them. He took a deep breath and crushed his empty beer can as small as possible.

After the present, Izuku excused himself claiming he was tired from his medication.
“Can you call me when Eri-Chan gets here?” He asked Katsuki.

“Sure.” Katsuki agreed.

“Rest up, man!” Eijiro encouraged.

“See you later, Deku-kun.” Ochaco said fondly.

“Do you need help up the stairs?” Shoto offered.

“I’ll be fine.” Izuku smiled.

“See ya later.” Denki waved.
Izuku tried his best to keep his composure. He really didn’t expect Kacchan home so soon. He hoped he would see Eri beforehand. He burst into his bathroom and threw blood up all over the sink before catching his breath. He was in so much pain. The poison was spreading.
“Shit.” He huffed. He wiped his mouth and lifted his shirt up. The wound from the vines opened again. Izuku grabbed his first aid supplies and did his best to clean it up. Kaminari was right about his observations. Izuku wanted no evidence of a break in.
He cleaned the whole house, patched himself up. Made dinner and was about to bake snickerdoodles when he was surprised by everyone’s visit. He thought back to what that kid said.

“Don’t trust your friends.”

But Izuku had a lot of friends! Who could he be referring to?!
He figured the best thing to do was cover up the crime. The villain lady said they weren’t supposed to hurt him. So what was the purpose of breaking into his home? Rattling him? But who would want to do that? Izuku figured whoever came to check on his condition after the breakin.
But Kacchan came in with four of his friends. The ones on the mission. Kaminari seemed the most suspicious out of all of them. But why would he do that to him? Izuku didn’t understand but he couldn’t think. He needed air. He hoped Eri got there soon.
He walked toward his balcony that over looked his backyard. It felt nice to feel the breeze on his skin. Izuku felt dizzy. He missed the cool air on his skin. He figured a late night fly wouldn’t hurt anyone. He stood on his balcony and leapt through the air.

Oh. Right.
Katsuki guided Togata and Eri into his kitchen and told them help themselves.

“Where’s Deku-San?” Eri said urgently. The now 12 year old had been informed of everything. She was told to keep it a secret from everyone. But she needed to get to her hero and fast.
“I’m gonna get him. But he’ll chew my head off if I don’t make ya eat first.” Katsuki grumbled.

“I’ll go with you.” Eri insisted.

“Come on Eri, you gotta let men have their privacy.” Mirio teased.

“Don’t be vulgar Togata!” Ochaco scolded.
“Just get your food. I’ll be back.” Katsuki rolled his eyes. He turned around when suddenly a large splash hit their pool and everyone stood up, gaping at the window facing outside.

“MIDORIYA?!”
“DEKU-SAN?!”
“DEKU-KUN?!”

Everyone screamed at once and Katsuki rushed to the yard.
Izuku’s wound opened up from the severe impact of the splash and the water was full of his blood. Katsuki panicked as he removed his shirt and dove into the pool. He carried him out and performed CPR immediately. After a full minute that felt like hours,
Izuku finally coughed out the water that had filled his lungs.

“IZUKU!” Katsuki cried as he held his side which was bleeding profusely. “What the hell happened?! What did you do?!”

“Move!” Eri demanded. “Lay him down gently. I got this!”
Katsuki helplessly followed her command and Mirio reassuringly put his hand his shoulder as she got to work.

“It’s okay. She’s gonna fix this!” He said. But Katsuki was swarmed with all kinds of thoughts. Did Izuku…try to end his life?
He thought back to all of his behavior. The gifts, the spotless home, Katsuki’s favorite meal. Was he saying goodbye?!

“Is he gonna be alright?!” Denki asked desperately. He seemed even more panicked than Katsuki.

“He’ll be fine!” Eri insisted. “Someone-”
But before she could explain, Izuku grabbed her arm and nodded his head ‘no’. There was something off. He needed to figure it out.

Eri looked concerned but understood. “Someone just needs to stay by his side.” She said before completely reversing the poison.
When she was done, Izuku smiled gratefully at her, but everything that happened was too much on his heart.

“I…forgot my medicine.” He laughed before passing out.

Katsuki rushed to him and held him close. He was shaking all over.

“He’ll be fine. He needs rest.” Eri said.
But Katsuki felt nothing but sorrow. Izuku wasn’t the one trembling at all. He was. Izuku was sleeping peacefully in his arms as if nothing happened. He had a small smile still on his lips.

What the hell happened?!

He wordlessly carried him upstairs to his bedroom.
Katsuki didn’t know what else to do other than tuck him in. He felt like a complete failure. Like he let Izuku down in so many ways. How could he not notice how upset he was after losing One for All?

“I’m sorry.” He croaked as tears poured down his face. “I’m so sorry.”
“Hey.” Denki knocked gently on the door before walking in. “How is he?”

“Fine.” Katsuki did his best to wipe his tears. “I didn’t even get to thank Eri-Chan. Shit.”

“She knows how grateful you are, I’m sure. But we’re all worried about him. Don’t worry about cleaning.”
“We took care of it.” Denki said calmly before sitting next to Katsuki on the bed. “How are you holding up?”

“Like shit.” Katsuki laughed as he tried and failed to compose himself. “Why did he do this?!”

“I…kinda have an idea but, now’s not the time to say.”
Denki rubbed the back of his neck.

“Say it.” Katsuki demanded. “I need to know…”

“Um…I don’t know, the moving in with you, living with you, being so close to you, while you get to still live your dream. Shine and all that while he’s done. Maybe it got to him.”
Denki stated before Katsuki back handed him across the face.

“What the fuck are you saying?!” Katsuki roared as Denki looked up at him in shock while holding his cheek. “Deku’s done?! Don’t give me that crap!”

“That’s not how I meant that, dude! What the fuck?!”
“How else could you have meant that?” Katsuki snapped.

“I’m just trying to figure out how HE THINKS! Not how I think! I’m trying to find out why he would do this to himself?!” Denki looked hurt and Katsuki immediately felt guilty.

“Right…shit I’m sorry. It’s just a lot!”
Katsuki cried. “How did I fuck up so badly?!”

“Maybe…you’re too selfish for him.” Denki grumbled as he stood up and rubbed his cheek. “You WANTED him to be happy living with you. You didn’t take into consideration if he actually was.”
Katsuki just stared at him, defeated. Maybe he was right. Maybe Izuku was miserable and he didn’t see the signs. Katsuki thought back to the last time they used their pool. It was just that past weekend. Izuku happily spinning in his All Might floaty before Katsuki canon balled.
The wave knocked him over and Izuku got his revenge by firing a water gun he had at his former hero partner. They spend the whole day just being stupid and finding various ways to spat. Afterwards, Katsuki watched the sunset gleam in Izuku’s eyes as they laid in their towels.
“Izuku?” Katsuki questioned. “Are you happy here?”

Izuku sat up and smiled brightly. “The happiest!”

Yeah, that definitely wasn’t why! Izuku WAS happy with him. Something had to have happened!

“Get out.” He told Denki.

“Katsuki…”

“You don’t know Izuku like I do.”
“But I know YOU.” Denki began to tear up. “And…if I was with you? There is nothing on earth that would make me jump off a balcony. Okay?”

“That’s not the comfort you think it is! Now scram! You probably won’t see me for awhile! I’m taking the week off!”

“Katsuki!”

“I SAID GO”
After Denki was finally gone, Katsuki felt a calloused hand caress his. He turned to see Izuku wrinkling his nose. Probably about something he was dreaming about.

“Kacchan….” He said breathlessly in his sleep. “They’re after me….”

“Fancy seeing you here…”
Santa said begrudgingly in the restaurant as the pro hero walked up and sat in their booth. He was supposed to meet her there HOURS ago.

“Sorry. It’s because YOU didn’t do your job right.” He seethed.

“Deku’s not as helpless as you promised us…Chargebolt.”
“Don’t say it so loud!” Denki whispered. He was in disguise for a reason.

“You better not hold out on what you promised me or I’ll tell everyone.” She snarled.

“Like they’ll believe you.” He chuckled. “But you’ll get your money.”
“You just have to do me one little favor. And I’ll double it.” Denki smirked.

“And what’s that favor?” She wondered.

“Turn yourself in.”

“Excuse me?!”

“Turn yourself in to Deku. And tell him DynaMight put you up to it.”
“Like he’ll believe that.” She grumbled.

Denki slid an envelope to her. “He doesn’t need to completely believe it. He just needs a little seed of doubt.” He then pointed outside the restaurant. “It helps there’s camera footage of his motorcycle out front here to pay you.”
She opened the envelope and peeked at its contents.

“It’s convincing. I’ll do it. But Chargebolt.”

“What?”

“DynaMight still won’t love you.”

Denki hit the table in anger. “Excuse me?”

“I’ll take your money, but it’s a waste. Good luck though.”
Kaminari sighed as he snuck the motorcycle back into Katsuki’s garage. He knew he would probably be too busy doting over Izuku upstairs to notice. He knew he went too far. But it was too late to stop now.

Denki had fallen for Katsuki. He always had feelings for him…
But Izuku was always around. They were hero partners after all. Denki knew he didn’t stand a chance. And when Izuku lost his quirk and moved in with Katsuki? He felt his hopeless crush would remain hopeless forever. But despite everything,
Izuku never made a move. Katsuki didn’t either. They just remained in this pathetic limbo. And then Denki got partnered with Katsuki on missions and he felt his feelings come back in full force. He loved spending time with him. Katsuki was truly amazing. And funny. And smart.
But every time, after working his ass off being Katsuki’s support system, it was Izuku who reaped all the benefits. It was Izuku whose arms he would run to after missions. Izuku who he would come home to and dote after. Izuku who got all his free time.
Denki couldn’t stand it. And after their last mission together where they both almost died but used everything in their power to save each other in an intense moment that solidified their bond, Denki’s heart broke in two when Katsuki immediately found Izuku in the crowd.
He spun the crying boy around and held him tight while Denki remained alone…it pissed him off to no end. He should have stayed by Denki’s side! He needed to do something to get Izuku away from him. So he thought to scare him off.
Izuku was now quirkless and helpless so of course he was all Katsuki worried about. And when it becomes public knowledge? He will worry about him even more! So Denki had a plan. He would shake Izuku up. Make him realize he’ll become a target if he lives with Katsuki.
That he’ll do nothing but hold him back.

He was confused when he arrived to their house and Izuku acted like nothing was wrong. But then he jumped off the balcony and he worried the break in effected him TOO MUCH. He felt awful and thought he broke him. Luckily Eri was there.
And despite everything, Katsuki still couldn’t see why Izuku living with him wouldn’t be the best idea. And when smacked him, something snapped. He had to ruin them. He had to make Katsuki understand that Izuku just wasn’t his person.

So when Izuku questions him?
Denki will be there to stand up for Katsuki and show him that he will always have faith in the BEST of him. And if Izuku doubts him after everything they’ve been through, Katsuki can see. They aren’t meant to be together.
He snuck out of the garage with newfound determination. He just needed a chance. He hoped Izuku would forgive him one day.

“Kacchan, I’m okay. I can walk up the stairs myself. You don’t need to do…this.” Izuku blushed furiously as Katsuki carried him bridal style.
They had just returned from the doctors office after Izuku woke up.

“Nuh uh. The doctor lady said no stress!”

“Stairs aren’t stressful!” Izuku laughed.

“I’m not takin’ any chances!”
Izuku’s laughter died down as he rested his head in Katsuki’s chest while he carefully walked up each step. When they got in the room, Katsuki made sure he was comfortable before locking his balcony doors and chaining them closed.

“I’m sorry you had to see that…” Izuku grumbled
“I think forgetting my medicine messed with my head and I thought I still had One for All! I just wanted to-”

“That lie doesn’t explain the stab wound in your side, Izuku.” Katsuki sighed.

“Oh…you saw that?” Izuku pouted.
“Did you do it yourself?!” Katsuki blurted out.

“What?! N-no! Never!”

“Then explain it to me! Because there was so much blood in that pool Izuku! And if the pool wasn’t there?! If the balcony faced the other way?! If you didn’t jump far enough?!” Katsuki spiraled.
“Kacchan! That’s not what happened! I didn’t…I-”

“In your sleep.” Katsuki huffed. “You said someone was after you. ‘They’re after me’, you said. Did someone scare you into doing that to yourself? Was it someone at school?! Who do I need to-”

“Some else stabbed me!” Izuku spoke
“It was in our home, that day! Four villains broke in, I managed to hold one of them off except for a kid with a strong quirk! They ran off, scared but he told me one of my friends paid them to attack me! His quirk poisoned me, that’s why I invited over Eri-Chan!”
Izuku went into detail about everything. Including his delirious state that caused him to jump off the balcony, thinking he could still float.

“I was gonna tell you. But our friends were over and I couldn’t trust them. I just know it wasn’t you.” Izuku sighed.
Katsuki stared at him for a long moment before collapsing in relief and burying his face in his hands.

“So you didn’t try and off yourself?”

“No!” Izuku reassured him. “My life…while quirkless isn’t worthless. I’m happy. With teaching, with you. It’s amazing.”
“With me?” Katsuki sat on the bed next to him.

“Y-you know what I mean.” Izuku stuttered as a blush crept on his face.

“No I don’t, what do you mean?” Katsuki smirked.

“W-well you’ve been great and stuff and…I like living with you.”

“Is that it? Cause I spoil you?”
Katsuki leaned closer and Izuku was so thoroughly tucked in, he couldn’t lean any further back.

“N-no! It’s…you know..nice…s-seeing you every day and hanging out with you all the time a-and…”

“And?” Katsuki’s lips were so close, Izuku could taste his breath.
“And the doctor said not to stress me out, Kacchan.” Izuku whispered as his heart beat a million miles a minute.

“Then stop holding back from me Izuku.” Katsuki demanded and Izuku couldn’t help but obey as he crashed their lips together.
Katsuki grunted in satisfaction before climbing on top of Izuku and sticking his tongue in his mouth, tracing it on his, causing him to whimper. Izuku wrapped his arms tightly around him and pulled him closer. He would wrapped his legs around him too but he trapped in the covers.
“Izuku.” Katsuki huffed as he messily kissed all over his face down to his neck. “I love you.”

“Oh, Kacchan.” Izuku cried. “I love YOU. I’ve just been too scared to say it.”

“Me too. We’re both chicken shit idiots.”

“Mmhmm. Total idiots. Ah…”
Izuku sighed happily as Katsuki began to nibble on his collarbone.

“Fuck, I’ve been wanting to do this for so long.” Katsuki groaned.

“Kacchan.” Izuku felt the room spin. “I’m going to faint.”

“Huh?”

“I love you..”

It was too much on his heart.
After a blissful week together trying their best to take it slow and failing, Izuku was finally cleared to return to work. He couldn’t believe his luck. Katsuki kissed him several more times before he had to get up and get ready.

“I’ll…see you…tonight.” Izuku giggled.
“I’m gonna end this villains in 5 seconds flat so I can get home before you.” Katsuki declared.

“I’m sure you will, Kacchan.” Izuku said it and he meant it. His boyfriend, wow! He could call him that!, was amazing afterall.

Izuku got ready and ran to the backyard for his bike.
Except it was gone!

“Huh?!” He looked around before hearing the familiar bell on his bicycle and noticing someone with a Deku hoodie riding off with it!

“HEY! WAIT!” Izuku ran after the kid on the bicycle and noticed he stopped at certain corners as if he was waiting for him.
Izuku had a bad feeling. He stopped as soon as the the kid crossed the train tracks and waited as the train rode by. In between the cars, he could see the kids face staring at him from the other side. It was the same one with the vine quirk!
Izuku couldn’t run anymore as his heart was still unsteady so he just stayed still. As soon as the warning barriers lifted, the kid took off. Then rode back after noticing Izuku wasn’t following him.

“Deku-San. You need to follow me.” The kid said as stopped in front of him.
“Tell me why.” Izuku crossed his arms.

“I…I know which friend did it.” He announced. “I’ll tell you. But you have to come with me.”

“No.” Izuku stared firmly. “You come with me.” He pointed to a cafe by the tracks.

“But it’s best if no one hears us.” He shuffled his feet.
“Really?” Izuku smiled at him before leaning down removing the ear piece in his ear and crushing it with his hand. “Then it’s best you keep that out, right?”

“Uh…” The kid looked petrified.

“I’m not gonna hurt you. Come on.” Izuku guided him. He bought them both coffee.
“What’s you name?” Izuku questioned as he sat across from him in the cafe.

“Um…Yuki.” The kid said anxiously. He was shaking.

“That’s a nice name. I like snow.” Izuku smiled warmly and Yuki relaxed.

“I-I’m a big fan of yours!” He blurted out.
“I’m really sorry about what happened the other day, I was just scared! I never meant to hurt you! You were so cool! Like on TV! Even without a quirk! I couldn’t believe it! It was amazing! I…” Yuki teared up. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay. I turned out fine. Thanks to you.”
Izuku chuckled. “If you didn’t tell me about the poison, I wouldn’t have gotten the help I needed. I could tell out of everyone there, you didn’t want to be. So…why were you?”

“Santa-San…she..she helps out with me and my sister.” Yuki confessed.
“My parents died this year and she was our neighbor and offered me a job with her and she would make sure I kept a roof over me and Nee-chan’s head. I knew what she asked to do was wrong but it never involved hurting anyone. Mostly just stealing…” Yuki informed him.
“I’m sorry about your parents.” Izuku said sadly. “And it’s great you’re doing your best for your sister. I understand that. But doing crimes like this..it might come back to bite both of you.”

“So what am I supposed to do?!” Yuki cried. “How else can I get that kind of money?”
“By asking for help from the right people.” Izuku smiled before pulling out a checkbook from his bag and writing him a check. “Hopefully this should be enough to get you by for now. But I know a few places that could hire someone with a quirk like yours.”
“Deku-San…why? After what I did to you?” Yuki blinked.

“Because I can tell you have a good heart, Yuki.” Izuku handed him the check. “So…which one of my friends doesn’t?”

“Um…” Yuki pulled out the yellow envelope. “Santa said to give you this.”
“Do you know what’s in it?” Izuku could tell he looked skeptical.

“I don’t know. Santa-San just said that it’s hard proof. But… I wouldn’t trust her.” He ran his hand through his all white hair. “I don’t know where she got it from.”
Izuku pulled the contents out and noticed it was his rejected applications from apartments he had applied to before moving in with Kacchan. He had listed Katsuki as a reference and every single one listed the rejection reason as the reference having negative things to say.
“She told me to tell you, it was DynaMight who paid us!” Yuki blurted out. “A-and she said to give you this.” He slid the photo of the motorcycle outside the cafe. “Apparently he was obsessed with you and wanted to scare you so you stay with him forever. But…I don’t believe it!”
Izuku smiled to himself before putting his head in his hands.

“Thank you Yuki-kun. You’re a good kid. Here’s my number.” Izuku slid him a slip of paper. “If you need anything, please call me.”

“Y-yes!”

Izuku packed everything in his bag and went to work. He knew who did it.

Katsuki was over the moon as he rode his motorcycle to pick up Izuku from work. He got those villains down faster than anyone ever! He smirked, proud of himself. He marched onto campus and waited outside Izuku’s classroom. When the bell rang, all the kids swarmed him.
“DynaMight! I’m a big fan!”

“Ah! I wanna be just like you!”

“It’s Great Explosion Murder God DynaMight! Have some respect!”

“Can I get a selfie?!”

“What’s all this commotion?!” Izuku sighed as he exited the classroom. “Kacchan?!”

‘Save Me’ Katsuki mouthed to him.
Izuku looked at him then waved the yellow envelope in the air before turning back inside his classroom and letting him fend for himself.

“Izuku!”

After half an hour of batting away excitable future heroes, Katsuki finally got in the classroom.

“Why didn’t you stop them?!”
“Izuku is always late.” Izuku read from one of the application decision forms. “If he’s late to dinner on time, you bet he will be late on rent.”

“W-where did you get those?” Katsuki looked like a deer in the headlights.

“Izuku is messy!” Izuku pulled out another form.
“Number one hero? More like number one slob!”

“I can explain…” Katsuki hung his head low.

“Wait! This one’s my favorite.” Izuku glared at him. “One time when we were five, Izuku wet the bed and blamed me. When we were twenty, he spilled wine on his pants and said I did it.”
“You can’t trust him.”

“It wouldn’t have been safe for you to live by yourself.” Katsuki grumbled.

“You’re ridiculous.” Izuku rolled his eyes. “You didn’t even ask me to move in with you till they all rejected me! Why didn’t you just say what you wanted!”
“Would you have considered it if you had no other options?!” Katsuki lamented. “You were pretty gung ho about being on your own.”

“Kacchan.” Izuku looked at him. “Unzip your hero outfit.”

“H-huh?” Katsuki blinked in confusion before his boyfriend walked up and did it for him.
He unzipped the front to just below his chest and pulled it apart revealing bruised and hickeys all over Katsuki’s neck and chest.

“Does that answer your question?” Izuku leered at him.

“Y-yeah.” Katsuki blushed. “I’m s-”

But before he could apologize, Izuku kissed him.
“You’re an idiot.”

“I-I know…where’d you get all that anyway?” Katsuki rubbed the back of his head.

“You’re bad at destroying evidence.” Izuku informed him.

“You knew I tried to?”

“You trust the wrong people to do it for you.” Izuku laughed. “We have a dinner reservation.”
Izuku zipped up his costume. “So let’s go home, and let’s get you dressed really nice.”

“Why do you look like a villain Izuku?” Katsuki questioned as he saw his boyfriend filled with devilish mischief. It was hot…but concerning.
“Because I found out who tried to scare me.” Izuku said sadly. “And you’re gonna help me catch him.”

“Who?”

Izuku smiled at him deviously. “You’ll see.”

Denki looked in the mirror as he pressed his hands how on his vest and made sure it was perfect.
He couldn’t believe Katsuki actually invited him out to dinner and to a nice restaurant too! He straightened his tie and grinned over and over in the mirror.

“Hey Katsuki!”

“What’s up, man?”

He practiced.

“Kacchan! Too soon? Haha.”
After spending another 20 minutes in front of the mirror, he showed up to what hoped would be considered a date.

“Hi…I’m here for the Bakugo party.” He told the host.

“Right this way.” She guided him to a back room where Uraraka, Kirishima, Todoroki and Izuku were.
“Hey….guys…” Denki walked in disappointed. “What are you all doing here?”

“Bakugo-kun invited us!” Uraraka informed them.

“But he hasn’t showed up yet.” Shoto stated.

“Oh…I didn’t know it would be like, a group thing.” Denki said sadly.

“The more the merrier!” Ei cheered.
“Actually you guys…” Izuku looked at the table, troubled. “I have a confession.”

“What is it Deku-kun?” Ochaco wondered.

“Last week…I was attacked. It scared me and I didn’t tell anyone because the villains said it was one of my friends.” He began to cry.
“I didn’t want to believe it at first…not until I knew who did it, but…I got undeniable proof. It was….it was Kacchan!” Izuku declared.

“What?!” Ochaco gawked.

“No way! Eijiro stood up. “He would never!”

“Where is he?” Shoto’s entire right side was on fire.
“You guys?” Katsuki walked in startling everyone. “What’s going on? I thought it was just gonna be me and Deku.”

“How could you Kacchan?!” Izuku threw the photo with the motorcycle on the table.

“Is that-” Ochaco looked at in horror.

“He met the villain that night!”
Izuku informed them. “He paid them after I almost died!”

“What are talking about?” Katsuki raised his hands up.

“Bakugo…” Shoto growled.

“Wait!” Denki got in between them as Shoto approached him angrily. “Bakugo would never! Are you kidding Midoriya?! After everything?!”
“I didn’t want to believe it!” Izuku said between sobs. “But the motorcycle!”

“Bakugo! Explain yourself!” Eijiro demanded.

“And make it quick!” Shoto raged.

“He has nothing to explain! It’s obviously fake!” Denki laughed. “Tell them Katsuki!”
“Izuku. You have to believe me.” Katsuki begged. “It’s not real!”

“I tried to not believe it. But I went to the restaurant. I asked for their security footage! It’s your bike! There’s only one!” Izuku’s whole face was wet.

“But it wasn’t me riding it!”

“I don’t trust you!”
“How dare you!” Denki walked up to Izuku and slapped him in the face startling everyone. “After everything he’s done for you after you lost your quirk?! And you don’t trust him?! Because of something VILLAINS handed to you?!”
“Kaminari-kun…” Izuku said, bewildered. “How did you know I got it from the villains?”

“Y-you said it!” Denki stumbled back. “You said it!”

“He said he got proof, but not from the villains.”

“Why would the villains give him proof?” Shoto questioned.
“Look, I d-don’t know! I’m just defending Katsuki! Because he deserves better than you who won’t believe him after he’s spent all this time waiting hand and foot taking care of your worthless-” Before he could finish speaking, Katsuki slammed his head on the table.
“You sick fuck!” Katsuki was furious. “You awake?”

“I…” Denki was barely conscious.

“I know how good you are at handling brain damage!” Katsuki pulled him by the hair. “It was you! You hired those low lives to break into my home! To hurt Izuku! Why?!”
“I didn’t wanna hurt him! I just wanted to scare him!” Denki cried. “They messed up! I just thought you worried too much about him! He was holding you back!”

“Say the real reason!” Kirishima snapped. “Mina told me about your feelings!”
Denki looked around then met eyes with Izuku. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you? Him fighting your battles for you since you can’t anymore!”

“Kaminari-kun. You did this to yourself.” Izuku said pitifully. “Nothing about your plan pointed to anybody else but you.”
“Santa Suki and her gang? You were the hero assigned to her first robbery. And she got away from you.” Izuku sighed. “These files?” He picked up the yellow envelope. “Kacchan asked YOU to go to each apartment complex and request my application forms to destroy the evidence.”
“But the most damning piece of evidence?” Izuku pulled out a small camera from his pocket. “I hid a camera in Kacchan’s motorcycle. Just in case he gets in an accident…”

“You did?” Katsuki didn’t know that.

“I’m sorry Kacchan. I wanted to be sure you were safe…”
“When I came back from the hospital, I saw that you took it for a joy ride but..I thought maybe Kacchan let you or something. But when Yuki-kun showed me the photo, the time stamps matched up. All I don’t know is why…we were friends!”

“Because I LOVE KATSUKI!” Denki cried.
“I deserve a chance with him! And you’re always in the way!”

“Really?” Izuku stood up and walked up to him smiling sweetly. “Then I’ll forgive you.” He then grabbed Katsuki’s face and kissed him passionately. “Because I love him too.”
“Fuck, you’re hot when you’re possessed by the devil.” Katsuki practically drooled.

“What’s going on?”

“Okay, congrats and all but can we beat him up now cause what THE FUCK?!” Uraraka yelled as Kirishima went unbreakable and Shoto uses both sides at once.
“Are you to ord-” The waiter walked in and was stunned to find the top heroes in the rankings looking ready to attack Chargebolt who was in a chokehold by the new number one hero.

“Not yet!” Izuku said chipperly.

Kaminari still had a whole lot of hell to pay.

Katsuki kissed Izuku over and over as they rested in what was now their shared bed after a crazy night.

“You know you’re not worthless, right?” He whispered lovingly.

“Mmhmm.” Izuku nodded. “I told you. I’m ridiculously happy.”
“Good.” Katsuki whispered in his ear before sniffling into his hair.

“Kacchan. Are you crying?” Izuku looked at his boyfriend in concern.

“It just pisses me off that he could say that about you! After everything he’s seen you do!”

“It’s nothing I can’t handle.”
“But you shouldn’t have to handle it. The world doesn’t fucking deserve you.” Katsuki put his head in his shoulder before muttering. “I don’t deserve you.”

“Kacchan. You’re not a kid anymore. I’ve long since forgiven you.” Izuku sighed.
“Besides. I don’t think Kaminari-kun truly meant what he said.” He laughed. “Love makes people crazy. And if the person he loves is you, he must have lost all sense. And I can relate that.”

“Yeah you are pretty insane.” Katsuki grinned proudly. “But I love it.”
“I’m glad.” Izuku giggled before mounting him. “Because you’re stuck with me forever.”

“Challenge fucking accepted.” Katsuki locked their lips together and savored every second. He won the best heart the world had to offer. And he would devote his life to protecting it forever.

Yuki stood in front of a cozy house in a safe neighborhood with his sister and all of their belongings. He was in awe that this is where they would live.

Izuku had made Denki buy it for them I exchange for everyone to keep what he did between them.
Denki had agreed and now Yuki and sister didn’t have to worry about money. He walked into the house and picked up the card waiting on the table.

‘Yuki,
Don’t let anyone’s opinions of you take you down. Your past, your present, it all leads up to your next steps.’
‘I hope this helps you forge a better path toward the future. No matter what, I want you to believe from the bottom of you heart.

You can still be a hero.

Love,
Deku’

Yuki cried tears of joy. He believed every word.

Izuku felt like the luckiest man alive being married to his husband Bakugo Katsuki. Their love story wasn’t easy but after they got over a few road bumps in high school, everything was magical! And they had been together ever since.
His marriage was a constant in his life and one of the brightest spots. He loved Katsuki so much and he loved watching him succeed. Everything was perfect! In their 5th year of marriage, Kacchan was offered a promotion at work that would cause them to move. Izuku didn’t mind it.
As long as they were together, he was happy. He worked a small part time job at a comic book shop anyway. As much as he loved his job, Kacchan said he didn’t have to work with his new salary. Izuku never imagined himself being a stay at home husband but he would at least try it.

Bakugo Katsuki was having a shitty start to his day. He overslept past his alarm, his mom forgot to buy new coffee beans, the line at the cafe was too long so forgive him for bumping into some tiny omega he couldn’t see!
He couldn’t miss the train and he was about to! His boss was a pain in the ass uptight stickler for attendance and he really didn’t want to waist hours of his work day getting lectured by him! So he didn’t stop. He couldn’t. He just kept running.

“EXCUSE ME!” The omega shouted.
But he didn’t have time for him. Not now!

“I SAID EXCUSE ME! HELLO!” The omega shouted again. What a nuisance. He needed to move on! But to Katsuki’s shock, the tiny thing ran like a rabbit and caught up with him before pulling his wrist to turn him around. “Hey!”

Bakugo Katsuki loved his mate and was fiercely protective over him to the point where Izuku couldn’t go anywhere without him. It’s not that he wasn’t capable all on his own. He was quite the natural little fighter. He just…had the tendency to lose his memory.
It would be one thing if it was like that American movie and he went to sleep and woke up every day with no memory of his past and life. That would be a very easy solution. But Izuku’s memory tended to vanish at random. He could go YEARS without an incident.
That’s why Katsuki insisted on mating with him as soon as possible. So Izuku could at least find his scent comforting and familiar even if he couldn’t remember anything about him. It would also help him seek him out in a crowd if he ever felt lost.

Bakugo Katsuki was on the run. He didn’t do it. He swear he didn’t. But he knew it looked bad. There was only one person in the entire world who would believe him, and he hadn’t spoken to him in years. Izuku. He had to get to Izuku.
He always saw the best in him, when everyone else doubted him, Izuku was there. Cutting him off was the worst decision he ever made in his life. But he had to for this stupid sham marriage that he only agreed to so his parents would get off his back.
“It’s okay, Kacchan.” Izuku smiled sadly at him during their last conversation. “Don’t cry, please.”

“No it’s not! It’s not! Stop trying to make me feel better, this is shitty of me and I don’t know why I’m doing it!” Katsuki had shouted at him.
