“My mother gave us a lot of love and affection because my father expired ten years earlier and is not in the best financial condition, as he had an expensive disease. He died of cancer. She had to run the house, and she was a social worker and magistrate. @iamsrk
She came from a well-to-do house that should have made her a spoiled person—but she took it all on herself, and never did I have to ask for anything twice. She gave it to me without ever spoiling me.
She brought a lot of life wherever she was, just by being herself", #ShahRukhKhan shared about his mother, Lateef Fatima Khan, in an interview.
Recalling her death, #SRK shared how unprepared he was for it, even though it was a repetition of the similar pattern he had faced with his father, who died of cancer.
“She had diabetes, she had hurt her foot, and it kept spreading.
When she was admitted to the hospital, she contracted septicaemia. I wasn’t prepared, but I had done the same thing for my father. I was in the hospital with him, and slowly he went away. She, too, went away the same way.
He later added," I didn’t know what to do. Death is a hiccup from which there is no coming back. I realised that and, therefore, overcame it by giving my work my all."

"When my friend booked an Uber for me on the last day, this lady came to pick me up. After the ride started, I noticed a kid sleeping in the front seat. I could not resist asking:
Ma'am, is that your daughter?
Yes, sir, my daughter and she is on vacation now; hence I am working and babysitting together.
I was curious, so I wanted to know more.
Her name is Nandini, and she drives a cab in Bangalore.
She wanted to be an entrepreneur and started a food truck a few years back with all her savings. But then covid hit, and she lost all the money she had invested.
“I am really scared of failures. Coming from a lower-middle-class family, I saw a lot of failures. When I came from #Delhi, I had no family. At a certain juncture in my life, I was thrown out on the road because we could not pay rent. @iamsrk
Poverty instils fear, stress and sometimes depression,” #SRK once shared in interaction with around 800 management students.
"When I decided to shift to #Mumbai, I had 1500 Rs in my bank account, which I had earned from 'Circus' & 'Fauji'.
What I am today is because a lot of people came together to ease my path when I needed it the most. I still don't check my bank account because I know I have at least 1500 Rs, which is important!

Jamshed Irani was only 32 when he joined the #TataSteel in 1968.
He quickly earned the reputation of a hard taskmaster and never took no for an answer.
Colleagues remember him as someone who knew the nitty-gritty of steelmaking.
A big feather in his cap was unfurling the #modernisation at the Jamshedpur plant, which included automation in the mid-1980s.
Recalling when he turned up on an occasional Sunday to check if everything was on track,a former colleague says,"His desire was to take Tata Steel to the 21st century & in every sense,he was the architect & the man who took complete charge of the implementation of every project."

"I had just returned from school and saw a few visitors at home. My mother asked me to serve them tea. I realised they had come to ask my hand in marriage only after they left. @moosa_jasmine
Within a week, I was engaged, and just three days later, I was married to a man I met on my wedding day for the first time. The night after the wedding, he tried to pin me down forcefully. One year later, I got to know he was autistic.
I filed for divorce. My family declared me a burden.
The next subsequent alliance was precisely the kind of guy I wanted. He assured me that he was ready to accept me for who I was. This could be a new chapter in my life.
