At #UPR41, @paweljabionski, Undersecretary of State, @PolandMFA, said #Poland:
- paid special attention to human rights and democratic aspirations in Eastern Europe
- emphasized the importance of protecting & promoting human rights as a part of achieving sustainable development

At #UPR41, @paweljabIonski, Undersecretary of State, @PolandMFA, said #Poland had:
- acted to ensure freedom of religion or belief, including protecting religious minorities
- protected vulnerable groups
- promoted democracy and principles of good governance

At #UPR41, @paweljabIonski, Undersecretary of State, @PolandMFA, said #Poland had:
- welcomed 7 million people over its border with Ukraine since the start of Russia’s aggression
- granted these people legal residence for 18 months, extendable to 3 years, with access to benefits

At #UPR41, @paweljabionski, Undersecretary of State, @PolandMFA, said #Poland had:
- responded to #COVID19 by digitally transforming its health services
- donated 13.5 million vaccine doses to 22 countries
- supported the educational needs with remote learning programs

At #UPR41, @paweljabIonski, Undersecretary of State, @PolandMFA, said #Poland had:
- adopted pro-family social policies
- adopted laws to improve the rights of disabled people
- actively participated in international human rights protection mechanisms, including @UN_SPExperts

At #UPR41, States commended #Poland on its efforts to:
- protect victims of gender-based violence
- increase the participation of women in leadership and decision-making
- combat human trafficking
- provide nutritional support to low-income families
- welcome fleeing Ukrainians

At #UPR41, States recommended that #Poland:
- ratifies the Istanbul convention on domestic violence
- amends the current definition of rape
- pursues efforts to combat gender-based violence
- ensures access to sexual and reproductive health for all

At #UPR41, States recommended that #Poland:
- takes further measures to increase the participation of women in the labour market
- guarantees full independence of the judiciary
- strengthens its office of the commissioner for human rights

At #UPR41, States recommended that #Poland:
- strengthens media freedom and respects the rights of peaceful protesters
- recognizes the key role of human rights defenders and activists
- steps up efforts to combat hate speech and crime

At #UPR41, States recommended that #Poland:
- ensures LGBTQI+ people are protected against hate speech and crime
- combats racial discrimination
- steps up efforts to identify children who are victims of human trafficking

At #UPR41, States recommended that #Poland:
- ends detention of unaccompanied children and pregnant women among migrants
- removes restrictions on the rights of minorities
- pursues efforts to guarantee the rights of persons with disability

The Universal Periodic Review of #Poland has now concluded.

The #UPR41 Working Group is set to adopt the report on 18 November 2022 at 16:00 (Geneva time).
