Dev Activity on @Polkadot saw a sustained rally in Q3 amid market downturn, easily surpassing @ethereum @solana @NEARProtocol & @0xPolygon & only coming second to @Cardano for the most part.

5/ A July report by @UltimateMoney showed that @Polkadot’s Nakamoto coefficient outranked other networks, 3 times higher than @solana & @avalancheavax & almost 12 times higher than @cosmos, @NEARProtocol & @BNBCHAIN.

Higher coefficient means higher level of decentralization🎉

6/ Total accounts on @Polkadot & @Kusamanetwork continued to rise steadily. Sep 28 witnessed the total number of $DOT holders surpassing the 1M milestone.

In the first two weeks of November, there was a sharp increase in new accounts created on Polkadot🙀

7/🧐Parachains on @Kusamanetwork and @Polkadot made good use of the Polkadot-specific #XCM feature to enable cross-chain communication and transfer. Q3 2022 recorded impressive transfer value in the top 10 chains!

8/ The @Web3foundation Grants Program announced a new milestone on July 28: among 1054 received applications, they had accepted and signed grants for 415 projects.

41.5% of funded projects developed runtime modules and chains, making this the dominant category among recipients.

9/ #DeFi was undoubtedly the most buoyant segment in the @Polkadot & @Kusamanetwork Ecosystem. By Sep 30, top 5 parachains with the highest #DeFi activities were @MoonriverNW @MoonbeamNetwork @AcalaNetwork @ParallelFi & @AstarNetwork!

10/ @ParallelFi rose up to lead the lending race in the last two-third of Q3, surpassing $75M in TVL at its peak on Aug 6.

The Nomad incident in August led to a sharp decline in @MoonwellDeFi's TVL, but the protocol is quickly rebuilding with the new Moonbeam Foundation Grant😎

11/ The #NFT sector was vibrant in Q3, with sales spreading across marketplaces including @RmrkSingular @tofuNFT @MoonbeansIO @NFTradeOfficial & @Mintverse_🙌

@tofuNFT's sales volume on @MoonbeamNetwork most frequently topped the daily ranking, leading 58 out of 93 days!

12/ Another NFT-powered section that showed much promise in Q3 is #Metaverse.

@BitDotCountry successfully launched their Alpha Testnet before their Pioneer App went live. Within 9 hrs of launching, 1M $NEER had been staked; after day 1 ended, this number increased to over 3M.

13/ Similar to any other #Web3 ecosystems, DAOs are indispensable to @Polkadot and @Kusamanetwork Ecosystem.

Four prominent DAOs with remarkable activities in Q3 are @ChaosDAO, @AstarDegens, @GLMRApes & @TFAlphaDao!

14/ A bridge is needed if a parachain wants to reach out to ecosystems outside @Polkadot & @kusamanetwork.

Notable bridges include @nomadxyz_ @CelerNetwork's cBridge @MultichainOrg @axelarcore @wormholecrypto @InterlayHQ @kintsugi_btc @snowfork_inc & @DarwiniaNetwork's Helix.
