While John got blank stares from his students, his point is well taken over here.

My code wasn’t always good.

In fact, if I look back at my early code, it was terrible.

BUT IT STILL RUNS!!!

It’s true - my tidyquant R package that’s been downloaded 800,000 times.

...Was my first R package.

...And the code is certainly not my best work.

But it gets results.

And people love it.

So don’t worry if you write unclean code at this point - especially if you’re just starting out.

You will get better over time.
